Rambler picked up his first PKC win of the new PKC year last night in his first cast of the new year at New Phila.

Thanks everyone for the congrats, I have been very blessed to be able to handle such a fine hound like Rambler. Glad we finally knocked out a big one.

That river was COLD that night! Some guys don't like a dog to swim, but my opinion a coondog is gonna go through hell and high water to get a coon so I'll follow old Ram wherever he takes me! haha

Tom - thanks again for letting me handle Rambler for you again this summer. I'm going to miss all that dog power on the end of my lead! We had a great season this year and I'm already looking foward to next year! We have some unfinished business to take care of!

JJ- Doug,Tyson,and Myself broke Rambler out last night. We couldn't wait to see a World Champ in action!!! First place we turned him in he ran for 3 hrs, caught or treed something 6 times, but left each time a running!!! The 3 of us surmised he was running Bigfoot since our neighbor swears he saw him in that woods last month!!! However on the 7 tree he stayed long enough for us to run to him, he had one of the biggest, prettiest possums I have ever seen!!! Tyson climbed the tree and shock it out to him so hopefully next time he will stay, and we won't have to run to him!!! LOL!!!!!

In reality he looked like a million bucks!!! He was split from Jill with the meat halfway across Champaign county in 5 minutes,the first time!! Than slammed one right in front of us when we recut him the second time!! You have him operating at high level that's for sure!!! Can't say it enough Thanks Again!!!!

Glad the old boy looked good for you!

Tank has been looking pretty good this week, has been split treeing and refusing to cover anything he ain't first on! Wonder where he gets that from!

boys rambler is a super nice hound and the one thing I really liked the times I hunted with him was his consistency about the same result every time cut him strike him tree him deep and lonely. jj we need to get together for a hunt sometime soon. My bone pup is starting to turn the corner she has been treeing coons about everytime I take her and has yet to cover another dog. she has been pretty tight on the ground but a loud pressure proof tree hound to this point. Also I am the pkc hunt director at yale now and we have hunts starting back up in December and I scheduled about 5 $50 Saturday hunts looking forward to seeing you there. Also I will return the favor and come down this spring and hunt at your club going to be trying to get my pups $100 won on her for the ss. Do you have any young ss pups that you are hunting? maybe if you have a fall pup we can make the trip over to the ss together thanks jay

Jay - Yes I've got a male off Rambler that is doing really good right now. Just needs some fine tuning and he will be ready for hunts. I will be up for some of those hunts for sure. It will probably be with the pup for awhile until Rambler comes back in the spring. Any weekend you want to go I will load up and come up, you have way better hunting then I do!

I have hunted tank a couple times now and I really like that dog!!!! He is super loud with a great locate. He also will not cover to save his life!!!! I think he's a bit to much for Jj to handle so he might just have to ship him to my house haha. Just kidding but you got a great pup on your hands Jj hope he turns out for ya!

Your gonna have to promise to take it easy on me though since your hunting a world champion now and ive just got this old blue mutt. Call me when your ready and we'll cut them loose and listen to them run the night away.

Joe are you kidding me, he's a World Champion I can't be turning him with just common ordinary dogs!!! I would however consider it if you can promise me, we will get after some big ole boars that ran early, so we can strike them late. I love to listen to that World Champion work them OLD COLD,BAD FEED TRACKS hopefully for hours!!!! Just thinking about it sends chills down my back!! It's what dreams are made of!!!
