forgot to post yesterday

THE STRENGTH OF PRAYER IS TRULY AMAZING, OUR PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED EVERY DAY AND WE NEED TO THANK GOD FOR ALL HIS BLESSINGS!

I HAVE A FRIEND THAT PUTS HIS SHOES UNDER THE BED EVERY NIGHT SO THAT HE HAS TO GET DOWN ON HIS KNEES TO GET EM IN THE MORNING AND EVERY MORNING AND NIGHT WHILE HE'S ALREADY ON HIS KNEES HE SAYS A PRAYER!!

A GREAT IDEA IN MY OPINION, THAT WAY NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF A RUSH YER IN YA REMEMBER TO TALK TO GOD.

Well I hope everyone took thier family to church on Sunday. We had 3 to be baptized and we have one for next week. It is just an amazing feeling to be in church and feel the presence of God all around you. I am very thankful for the many blessings that God is pouring out on my family, church, and this website. Isn't God good! I tell you guys the truth as the old song says "I am drinking from my saucer because my cup is running over." Praise God today and attempt to introduce someone to the only way to heaven Jesus Christ. Think about this for a moment, in two years you can make more friends by being interested in them, instead of trying to get them interested in you. Let us be like Christ and make an attempt to build relationships with people so that we may plant a spiritual seed and introduce them to Christ. We need to understand one thing as we talk to people about Jesus, and that is we cannot save nobody. That job belongs to Christ, but we sure can sow alot of seeds. God bless and have a wonderful day.

John 20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Have you ever met a Thomas in your sowing of the word of God? How many people today won't believe until they can see the holes in his hands and the hole in his side? Are you yourself one of this people that you would need to reach inside of our Jesus? I heard someone the other day say that the only man made thing in Heaven will be the scars on Jesus's feet and hands. I am so thankful today what Jesus did at the cross for all of us. I know I am undeserving and Jesus did it because he loves us that much. But if you wait until you see Jesus's scars in his hands you have waited to long. If you are lost today without Christ and are searching for answers here they are. Alot of people today are fixing lifes problems temporarly with drugs, alcohol, and variest other methods of forgetting their problems. But I can honestly say that Jesus isn't a tempoary fix, the cleansing power of Christ's blood is perminent and is second to none. There is no substitue for the redeeming blood of Jesus. Today is the day of salvation for you if you are strugling with life's problems come to Jesus, if you are unsure as to where to turn, turn to Jesus. I pray today that if you are lost and are reading this post daily please don't take another step without Christ in your life. Make that choice today as tomorrow might be to late. God bless and have a wonderful day.

Below is a story that I recieved via email. It is pretty good and has alot of truth in it. It is called the The Buzzard, Bat, and Bumblebee. Hope you enjoy.

THE BUZZARD:
If you put a buzzard in a pen that is 6 feet by 8 feet and is
entirely open at the top, the bird, in spite of its ability to fly, will
be an absolute prisoner. The reason is that a buzzard always begins a flight from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet. Without space to run, as is its habit, it will not even attempt to fly, but will remain a prisoner for life in a small jail with no top.

THE BAT:
The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable nimble
creature in the air, cannot take off from a level place. If it is placed on the floor or flat ground, all it can do is shuffle about helplessly and, no doubt, painfully, until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can throw itself into the air. Then, at once,it takes off like a flash.

THE BUMBLEBEE:
A bumblebee, if dropped into an open tumbler, will be there
until it dies, unless it is taken out. It never sees the means of escape at the top, but persists in trying to find some way out through the sides near the bottom. It will seek a way where none exists, until it completely destroys itself.

PEOPLE:
In many ways, we are like the buzzard, the bat, and the
bumblebee. We struggle about with all our problems and frustrations, never realizing that all we have to do is look up!

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up!

A request for prayer

Ron and all of you wonderful folks -

My oldest son has been called out by FEMA to help restore electricity during this hurricane season. We are from SC and are expecting to be slammed Friday by Hanna. If you could pray for his safety as well as all the others that are doing the work to help all of these folks that need power and water.
He has been a very strong person for me and I will miss him. I am proud that he has chosen to help others that are in need!

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Remember as you read the above verse that all men sin. Also remember all the way back to Genesis that the punishment for sin was death. But isn't it wonderful to know that we have a redeemer in Christ Jesus. Isn't it good to know that even when we fell Jesus that he is going to be our advocate to the Father. He doesn't forget us, he will always be there for us and the entire world. I praise him today and thank God for all that he is doing in our lifes and his many blessings. If you are lost and are searching for answers, then Jesus is the only permanent solution. God bless and pray for those that are in line with this storms.

The cross

I was on vacation in April this year at a lake in southern Indiana. For many years my father took his four boys every year to camp and fish. He passed away years ago, and my middle brother two years ago.

I was thinking about them alot this trip and the times we shared at the lake. When I got home and looked at some pictures I took, and seen this picture, the feeling that came over me, I knew that they were with god and ok and was watching over me.

Look at the very bottom towards the right side of this picture. Above that almost looks like a dove.

Luke 19:35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.
Luke 19:36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.
Luke 19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
Luke 19:38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
Luke 19:39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
Luke 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

I love the above verses as it shows that we worship a God that deserves and will be praised. When times are difficult just throw your hands up and praise God for he is good all the time. I know we don't understand all the hardships and problems of this world and be thankful that we don't and that God is taking care of all things for us. All Christians know that God is in control of every single thing that is happening and just be in God's will and not in his way. But if we read alittle further in Luke he gives us a promise and tells us where we need to look in times of need
Luke 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

If you are saved please stand fast and know that your redemption is drawing close. If you are lost please turn to Jesus and see what a difference he will make in your life. God Bless.
