Peeked at the eclipse a few with Chuck's welder mask. Watched most of it on TV.

Rob, glad u got to use ur camper. All mine is doing is collecting bird crap. We took it to Holmesville to stay for 2 nights with 3 dogs in it. Its only moved to get worked on since. Not sure its even going to work.

Dan, can they kill either sex, too. That would be much easier than here.

I think WB said they're spoken for. I'd love to have another one. I'm gonna miss going to the competitions next yr. I've really enjoyed going to the BSs, FTs, WRs and HTXs. The NHs are ok, but when u can't hear well or keep up...not my thing.
Had a great bday today. 2 friends came up and we rode horses for 4 hrs, then went to supper with them and a couple of others. One made strawberry pretzel salad for dessert, then we went to a camp and had bday cake. I'm feeling more spoiled than usual😊.

Corky, thanks. I took a couple days to celebrate my bday. One with friends (horse riding and supper) and one with Chuck (went to a county fair).
I thought a guy was suppose to call me about a horse so I stayed home while Chuck and Dandy went out tonight. He said Dandy treed twice...1 in an oak, he saw and one in a pine, he didn't see.

Last wk, a guy flagged us down and asked us if we'd bring the dogs over and kill some coons. We told him we'd see him in November. Tonight, we asked a guy if we could hunt on his property. He said we could, but he had one stipulation....we had to kill them all.
Coon season is looking up except more guys are getting back into trapping.

Dandy's on a roll, we've had him out by himself 3 nights and he showed us coons every night. Hoping to take him to a couple HTXs soon.

Chuck thinks we have enough dogs, sometimes he's not much fun.
We're getting enough tomatoes to eat and give a few away. Hoping sweet corn is ready soon so we can freeze some.

It was beautiful here yesterday, we rode for 6 hrs.
We've been doctoring dogs. Ruby must have poked a stick in her butt Saturday night when we had her out. Dandy did something to his tail on Sunday night when Chuck had him out....he couldn't/wouldn't hold it up. And Seven has a hot spot we can't get to heal. So they all went to the vet on Thursday.
He gave us steroids and an antibiotic and antibiotic salve for Ruby, an anti-inflammatory for Dandy's bruised tail and an antibiotic and a spray for Seven. Everybody seems a little better already. Our vet couldn't get us in for 2-3 wks, so we tried a new one. He got us in, in 2 days!
