Another 2" of rain here over night! 9" in 48 hours is gettin a lil carried away. My prize beagle "Bugs" is MIA & my Reddawg. Hope they didn't get caught up in the flash flooding ?

Boone, I been doin the intelligence testing with the "Dude". While tied in the yard & barkin some I put the shock collar on him. I used the tone 3 or 4 times & was gettin his attention but had'ta tickle him just a smidge to get him to understand the wording I was usin.

He got it & never barked again. Today with the collar off of him he barked twice & both times I hollered at him & he layed down. Been stayin with Dad & Grampa in the cave & he likes it. In two minutes he understood what sit means among other things. He's awful smart & loves people.

Sure 'nuff a fine looker at 24 1/2" I hope he slows up growin a bit. I'll send you a recent picture of him VIA text message. Purty classy lookin lad standin in the yard all slick N shiny.

Not gona be many coon left around here if "Patch" keeps catchin them on the ground. Last night a big boar never even got a chance to squeal........ Guess if they wana run they best be able to carry the mail or else!

!! We took "Dude" tonight with "Patch",Matt,my nephew & myself holdin the truck in place listenin to the chorus of some loud mouthed hounds in pursuit on a ridge,crickets,Owl screachin here & there,Whiporwill's playin their tune & stairin at the stars!

He's not as far along as "Latch" but we're workin on it! Thats pretty sweet either way considering I'm sure there was no other dogs even close to his age ??

Is he loud & how does he tree? The pair we had out tonight sure sounded good together & we're lookin forward to more of the same. Neat watchin them youngdawgs on the garmin. He was swingin his own direction & tryin to get by himself or at least thats what it looks like..LOL!!

"Dude" is quite popular among the family so he's stayin here. Gona hav'ta get one of them humungo crates for him though. He likes livin in the house with Pa & grampa awful good

!

Got another young male I'm quite fond of along with his littermates here outa "Patch" & "Sas" I call "BJ". Smart,loud & good lookin feller he is. All these here outa "Patch" have got some volume to them.

Sure like to see some pictures of your four legged pride & joy?

Ya he's pretty loud as for his tree he's got a decent bawl locate which is getting better every time then he rapps them off. First chop mouth tree dog i've ever had

!! Got your pictures you sent. Looks like I'ma lookin at pictures of "Dude"...LOL!! Other than body spots a lil different they look very much alike. Happy to hear he sings the rap music for ya. It's amazing how much their voices & the way they do things changes with age & experience. Sounds like your really havin some fun with him

as for getting out acording to the garmin the other night she was .7 miles out with the other dogs and it said she was TREED
couldnt here her but when we got there she was stand at the base looking up

I'ma tellin ya them pictures could be of "Dude". Only difference on that side of him is he's got more black down his back leg. The lad got an education last night that just kinda fell in our lap. Had a Reddawg,a Walker male & my Beagle lite up sumthin?? Got in the truck & mader to the ridge where they was smokin in the corn & now "Dude" had chimed in as well. They headed down a terrace strip goin mock 8 & it just so happened that the "Dude" was wearin the Tri tronics because he has been learnin some basic yard stuff including not runnin off!!

I could see him when I pushed the button & he did a bit of a ground dancin maneuver while doin a lil singin that made the whole pack scatter

! Was able to gather all but the Reddawg with a butterfly net,(woulda been handy anyway). Very very lucky I didn't have the crutch under the seat like it's supose'ta be that there reddawg is!

Just so happened that the owner of said walker was with me cuz he came to get him & his sister. That was nice cuz I was very sick of tryin to keep track of them...LOL!!

All good now,learned'um a lil by bein in the rite place at the rite time & got rid of a couple trouble makers... All a day in the life of a pack of puppies

Latch is So Handsome! Would love the pix to be a bit BIGGER since this OLDE lady can't see those little types... and Yes I AM older than all of you younguns...
Russ knows I LOVE BIG DAWGS... so Latch and Dude are leaning more towards my taste... AND... I sure am missing my big blue dawg...SIGH..... SO I LOVE TO SEE THE PIX... of course I liked them when he was still alive too.....

Keep getting out there with these nice dawgs... and keep up the AWESOME work! Heather

"Bum" see's the camera he stop's & waits for ya to get ready then gets in position for the shoot. "Patch" see's the rifle & he goes into a trance!

Pick up another one of the males out of lady and patch today the guy that has him has been pretty busy and ain't had him out much and was taking a week long family vacation so i told him i would keep him and get him out a little hopfully i can get some pics of him this week. You want to talk about big this boys a monster. Kenneled him up next to latch and i think latch is afraid of him he's so big

We turned a coon loose tonight & it hit the creek & went down stream. Ben & I where walkin along the creek in the yard & "Dude" was workin the thermals. He fell treed in a huge patch of ragweed on a pile of wood. He'd make a swing & come back. Decided that was the spot & let'er happen. Ben looked across the creek & seen the coon sittin up 30 yards up wind & worked him in to the tree where he locked a hold.

The volume he spits out is unreal to me especially for 7 or 8 months old & not went thru puberty yet !

I expected some potential size outa that cross. "Lady" is the second largest female I've had come to get bred & "Patch" is fair sized so we knew the chance was there I guess? Sure hope he is backin off on the upward growing. We had our herd of males outa "Sas" & "Patch" along & they where doin some poundin & pretty loud as well. They can sure spit'um out Mr Shipp !

OF COURSE our prize beagle "Bugs" was puttin in her two cents worth as well but the suprise was this lil all blue pup outa "Bum" & "Diamond", a heavy heavy "Boomer" bred female owned by Yancy Goodlock out Michigan way.

She was gettin after the coon & doin her best to seem tough & serious. Like 3 months, maybe a dash more the lil turd is...LOL!!

Be interesting to see how the Big'un does for ya? Keep me posted.....

Caged up my larger yarddawg's & took the lil all blue one & "Bugs" for a stroll in the area that the coon was bein stored. The Blue pup keyed in on it in the air, got on the tree & worked herself into a nice steady chop for a bit.

Got a picture of "Bum" that reminded me of her at that age. She is gona be one of them very young fireball's I got a feeling ? Needless to say,my face is hurtin from grinnin!.......LOL!!

Been treein some coon with my pupils outa "Patch" & "Bum". Fixin'ta maybe go for a stroll after while out back with them & see if we can get sumthin stirred up.

50's for lows are pretty rare as of late. Sure glad I don't hav'ta get permission !

Yep,we can do that once we get all moved Tim. My huntin takin a back seat rite now & the heat makes it an easy descision. More on my table than I can deal with for a bit so hang with me & we'll get together.
