....................Magic....................

Last night I started hunting later in the night and I ended up only making one drop. The Garmin said that Magic went over 4 miles from where I dropped her until she treed. I guess my coons are holding up a little bit with the weather getting a little colder. I had the gun last night, but the apple tree Magic treed on grew into a bunch of pines and I couldn't find him.

Tom I hope that Copper keeps improving for you. I have a young dog that I need to get started. She came in heat at 7 months, stupid females, so I have a couple of weeks until she will be out.

RJ don't you live in New York? Kind of hard to run the Pa state race. haha

Breeding Season

Been hanging at home with the wife, she has open heart surgery next month and Im pretty concerned about it.Hey Tom, thanks for not killing all the coons around me and rocks back yard.I really liked seein that pup getting in on the kill with Ivan in that one video, that is good training for both the pup and for Ivan. It builds up the pups confidence to tree and kill with other dogs and he got to taste fresh fur while the coon is still kicking."Good Training" And it sure looks like Ivan is good with pups. Sometimes it can be pretty testy to let 2 dogs on the same coon. Usually a grown male will try to intimadate a puppy if they can. "Hats off to Ivan". The last couple of nights Ive been seeing a few coon crossing the roads in different places. The boar coons are surely moving. Remember its breeding season,so be prepared for some long runs and empty trees .Its not foxes and it aint cats, its male coons looking for hot females. I know this because I followed a set of big coon tracks one night in breeding season. You would not beleive how many trees that coon checked and how far he traveled.I got tired before I found the end of the trail.Sometimes this will make a dog look stupid. "Just a little insight" Please dont kill the coons in breeding season, You could be ruining your training area.Go back to the places you thought you werent treeing in anymore, your probably going to be surprised. The boars are going to be looking for hot females and coming from places you dont even know about. Its fine to run them ,just dont kill them.Keep training them dogs.Hope to get out with you guys soon.Hey Terra ,I sure am glad to see that Blade got into a persons hands that loves to hunt coons and takes good care of his hound. Ive hunted with Blade and always liked him.ARE you going to compete with him? I hope so.My wifes trains hounds for bench shows and she has always liked Blade too.She Always likes to see the pictures of Blade on the computer."Good Job"Don

Dream Team has a new Idea for the big coon contest next yr. We will get the details later. Wanted to have another hunt before season closed but everyone except for the dream team was scared.

You guys see them leaves on trees snowing in middle of summer lol

Hi RJ , The Dream Team got lucky with the weather & us guys being Chickens not having another big coon contest Us Chickens will see The Dream Team next coon season ready to take title !!! Thanks for paying my dues you & rich are good guys I dont care what everybody else says lol RJ sorry for getting you yelled at but good job telling them Rich says it was okay to hunt there gotta have them fall guys lol when Rich & I get onto somebody's land mainly around Middlebury & LittleMarsh Pa & they are mad we tell them Rocky Stone says it is alright to hunt here & get out ! See you Sunday

Magic86 NO BS Allowed on This Site !

Mudman looks like you guys had some fun I will say that coon fell in creek it looks wet Good Job !

Only 2 nites left here in Pa to shoot coons down to hounds & it is looking like due to temps not many videos will be made lastnite it was 15degrees here with wind blowing 20+mph nothing was moving did 2 turns nothing as I sit here right now the temp is 21degrees & strong winds so it is not looking good for raccoon hunting again tonight & tomorrow nite the Tioga club is holding a #$% hunt & I have to go to that well I guess I may just go coon hunting seeing it will be the last nite of season I may say the heck with that hunt & try to get me 1 last video of dogs getting coon ! Mt. Laurel

Hey Tom , Your getting pretty good with that camera. I really like seeing other pictures besides a dog on the side of a tree. Notice how Ivan run that coon in the snow, he was to the left of the track. He has a hell of a nose. Ive seen tracks in the snow where the dog was 20ft off the track. This means hes smelling them in the air , not on the ground. Makes a dog fast, he will leave a dog that has to have track between his legs in the dust, unless its a me-too dog. Aint nothin hurts worst in a hunt than getting beat by a me-too dog and a shifty handler." Been there- Done that" on one of my many learning experiences. Some of them guys out ther will be nice to your face and stick it in your a#@ in a hunt. I dont forget. Well to get back to the pictures, I see the mountain laurel, would that be Spoor hollow? Had to be high on the mountain somewhere. I think you should be able to tree a coon somewhere in your hunt saturday night. The females are hot and the males are horny.Think about it , they are not looking for food. Put them dogs in the woods where the dens are. You might see one on the outside because if there is a female in there and she is not ready to breed ,she wont let him in there. Just like at home "Ha Ha" Keep lookin Up-Don

It's good to hear that I am only reading the truth. haha. Tom you can keep posting videos of coons being shot for another week, just make sure to say that it was from the last week of season.

Tom I will see you at the hunt if you end up coming. I have to try to stay ahead of that border upping Ruby.

RJ we should go for a hunt, what about next week? I have hunted with Ruby a few times, but she always has the professional handler with her.

Don, I know that the few times that I have hunted with Ivan he does have a cold nose. He will work an old track and put a coon on the end of it.

No boys this was no "trap coon" we treed it in a beech tree and it was sitting on the out side a young boy wanted to shoot it out. He shot it out with Alot of life still in it it hit the ground and took off it didnt make it 15 yards to a creek and dogs had him the little walker female is a year old and is only about 25-30 pounds but has the grit of 20 60 pound dogs we love her.

WERE BACK!

We treed twice last night both hollows, but we seen both coon's.
The first pic is the first tree, my buddy climbed the tree and stuck the camera in a hole and took a pic of the coon at the bottom.
The second pic was the next hollow, there was about a 6in hole way up toward the top and I seen the coon moving in the hole but I didnt shoot him cause the tree was just to big to cut down if the coon got stuck inside.
