HUNT

Went for a while last night. First drop we cut Cotton , my pup Cyclone, and Rock. Cotton struck in at 350 yds and started working a bad track. Rock was with her for a while but ended up moving on down the bottom and never opened with her. Cotton worked that track about 400 yds and soon loaded up and treed right. Rock ended up coming in to the tree but never treed right. I found the coon half way sticking out of a hole. It was too fat to get in the hole!! My pup went every step and opened on track a few times and barked at the tree a few times as well. Next drop we cut Rock and he went 800 yds and came out on an old logging road. We got a late start and that moon was shining bright so we called it a night. Y'all Keep'em Lookin' Up!! Darren

figured i would give you a report on Stroker he is doing good. last 2 hunts he has made 4 trees and seen 3 coons. hunting him by himself. the tree he made that i didnt see the coon, i could here the coon growling at him in a hollow. made 2 turn loss that he struck bad tracks and could not finish them. he is going to make a pretty could dog in time

Mickey thanks for the update bud. I seen ole Stroker do some good work. Sounds like you are puttin the shoe leather to him and that's what he needed. I'm glad you got him cause I know you will hunt him hard and get it out of him if he has got it in him. Good luck and keep me updated. Darren.

HUNT

Hunted last night for a little while. We took BB , Rock, Rickett and Cotton. First drop we cut Rock and Rickett. They left out and hunted hard but never got struck. They came out on a road so we caught them up. Next drop I cut Cotton and BB. They left out hard but after about 20 minutes BB came back in to the truck. I checked the Garmin and Cotton was 600 yds and had crossed the creek. We moved up the road and ended up catching her crossing on an old ditch. She never opened. We moved around and cut BB, Rickett and Rock. BB struck followed by the other two. Bb soon loaded up and the other ME TOO' ERS soon joined her. We got in to the tree and it was slick as a mole. We cut them off the tree and they got treed on the creek about 300 yds deeper on a den. We were almost a mile in the bottom and called it a night. Cold, windy, equaled a bad night. HUNT

Hunted last night for a while. I took Rock alone. Rock has not been performing since I got him back. Wanted to just put him in the woods alone and see what was on his mind. Treeing coons sure ain't!! He struck a decent track and took it down the bottom into the hills. I'm not sure what he is doing but he just continues to trail and hush and cover more ground. He ended up over a mile from us and stayed gone for 2 hrs and never got treed. He has been got on pretty good about possums and may just be scared to get treed. Hopefully he will get out of it and come back around.
Sending him to my buddy to hunt him in a 10 acre coon pen. There are 30 coons in ten acres , so maybe he can tree one!! Y'all Keep'em Lookin' Up!! Darren

Hunt

Hunted cotton in a ukc mini-slam tonight. She scored 675+ and 150- ended up with 525+ and 1st place high scoring dog. That is her first ntch win. Y'all keep'em lookin up. Darren

Cotton has really been turning the crank lately. She got a slow start last night but put on a show after the first drop. She split twice with the coon and shut out everybody on track on another coon. Just gone stay on her.

Coty, cotton is out of Logan x Bell. Bell is out of Jaggs and a Hornet female.

HUNT

Hunted for a little while last night. First drop I cut Rock alone. He went about 275 yds and struck a decent track. He worked it in and out of the water in the bottom and soon loaded up treed. He treed good and I got to him he was on a huge den tree. Next drop I cut Cotton and my Cyclone pup. Cy has been hunted 2 times but he left out hunting. Cotton struck about 250yds in the bottom and moved a track good thru all the water. She got him out of the water and soon loaded up treed. She blew the top out and we made our way into the tree. She was up a huge tree but we soon found the meat sitting in a big fork. Cotton has displayed a consistency that I haven't seen in many dogs. She is the same dog night after night. She is 2 and I think she is just getting better with experience. Ole Cyclone was at the tree and was interested but needs a little more time to figure it all out. We cut ole Rock again and he struck in at 400yds. He soon located and treed but wasn't right. We started towards him but he quit and left. I used my garmin and soon found a big possum sitting up where he had treed. Glad he left but hopefully he will be able to turn them down all together. Possums are his weakness. He had some bad whippings from his previous owner and I am just getting him back to treeing. Gone stay after them. Y'all Keep'em Lookin' Up!! Darren
