Wendy is due 8/11. We had our 9month old smoke pup running loose at a buddy s farm and he was laying under a ten wheeler in the shade. He got run over and it killed him. He acted like a good one. This was the oldest litter out of smoke.

Allways hate to lose a good prospect. He was a pretty neat pup.

Got a 4 week old male that we call Seond Hand Smoke. Hope he is our next stud dog. He's out of Smoke and Lou. Coon dog X coon dog. If all the genes lined up he will have the tools.

Too hot for me and the dogs to go hunting right now. Afraid that if they got one running up off the creek and get into the corn they would go down fast in this heet.

Time to take a break for a while any way.

Smoke pups

Since we lost our male pup out of Smoke we have been calling around trying to buy back a pup from those that got them when they were weaned. Haven't had much luck but Mark Brown might sell his female to us. Hope so, we will have to keep her away from Sherrie's chickens though.haha
These pups are all doing great and just need some time in the woods. Can't wait to see what the next two litters will be like.
Have a litter comming out of Smoke X Wendy and a litter out of Smoke X Pearl. Both litters have the breeding to be the next coon dog on the corner.
Hot weather is workin on me hard and I've been spraying down the dog pens in the afternoons. Sooner or later we will get a break and get some rain. Kittens are runnin good and it is a perfect time to start a pup.
Work is about caught up and maybe in a week or two we will be back to conditioning dogs and hitting a few hunts.

Spending this weekend catching up on things at home and might take the Grand-Kids to the lake to do some fishing.

Roy Berda is coming round . Thanks again for her . She is a smart pup learning fast I may try to show her next month . Barley is still down with his voice . I am getting some honey and lemon juice today and try that . It couldn't hurt . Vet gave him steroids and antibotic and it alot better but not perfect . I loved his big loud mouth so it has to get better .

No you don't Tim cause that would mean you are getting old like me. lol. Just pick those experience minds around you of as much Knowledge as you can stand and you'll be fine.

Got to thinking the other night that competing against ole Smoke is like playing pool against a pool hussler. You better not miss cause Smoke will run the table on you. lol. I hope some other Bluetick guys get a chance to check Smoke out and see what he has to offer the breed.
