One time a long time ago when Lyndell was a little boy he was playing with a ball and bat in his backyard. "I'm the greatest hitter in the world" he exclaimed as he threw the ball into the air. He swung with all his might but missed the ball and fell down himself. "Strike One" he says as he gets up. He throws it up again and swings. Again the ball falls to the ground with a thud. "Strike Two" he yells still undeterred. "I'm the greatest" he says as he swings once again hitting only air as the ball falls to the ground. This time he dances around the backyard as he yells "Strike Three.... I'm the greatest pitcher in the world!"

Good posts, WB.

Another beautiful day in NW PA. My friend and I hiked 4.3 miles on the North Country Trail.
Tonight, after we got home from the nursing home, we took the dogs out....3rd night in a row we've seen a coon. Saw 3 porcupines on the way home. We saw 5 of the nasty things one night. Hopefully, drunk campers will run over a few when they're up for trout fishing this wkend.

The Wedding
A little boy was in a relative's wedding. As he was coming down the aisle he would take two steps, stop, and turn to the crowd (alternating between bride's side and groom's side). While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws and roar. So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR all the way down the aisle. As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from laughing so hard by the time he reached the pulpit. The little boy, however, was getting more and more distressed from all the laughing, and was also near tears by the time he reached the pulpit. When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said, "I was being the Ring Bear."

How do they know?? We've been taking the dogs out every night this wk about 9 pm. Its like an alarm clock went off at 9 tonight. Ruby started whining at me, I told her not tonight so both of them went to Chuck and he told them no. Then Ruby started barking and Dandy came over and knocked my glasses off. Finally, told them to behave. Ruby is pouting and Dandy keeps bringing me toys to throw.

Rex Ridge congratulations on Ruby's HTX win went to New Castle and hunted there hunt tonight but we didn't do any good just got back to the house and loaded some young dog's headed back out hope to be back in time to shower change and go sunrise service

Think alot of that depends on how good ur hearing is. We had Ruby and Dandy out last wk and could barely hear them at 380 yds. My friend lives about 1/2 mile away and they heard them. Chuck said the wind was blowing the wrong way, but it was a pretty calm night.
I didn't think real coonhunters drove Fords!

Y'all keep an eye out for Price he went to a bench show Saturday got there by one he thought that was the time but it wasn't till 5 the Gates were locked.but that is better he has been known to go a couple of hours up the road when the event was the next day

Thanks for the congrats. Hoping she passes another one this yr. Then we might try taking her to night hunts or see if Dandy is ready for HTXs. We like HTXs better, less bull.
Dandy isn't the best at staying treed yet. Wish he was more like LuWee the Rat (terrier); she treed a black squirrel at 8 am this morning, at noon I went out to bring her in, the squirrel jumped out of the tree and Lu went after it. She treed it again about 100 ft away. She almost caught it, but I think she backed off because last wk she caught up with a coon we let out for Dandy and it got her pretty good on the nose. I had to chase her around the tree a few times before I could catch her to carry her in.

A couple had two little boys, ages eight and ten, who were excessively mischievous. The two were always getting into trouble and their parents could be confident that if any mischief occurred in their town, their two young sons were involved in some capacity. The parents were at their wit's end as to what to do about their sons' behavior.

The parents had heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children in the past, so they contacted him, and he agreed to give it his best shot. He asked to see the boys individually, so the eight-year-old was sent to meet with him first. The clergyman sat the boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?"

The boy made no response, so the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God?"

Again the boy made no attempt to answer, so the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face, "WHERE IS GOD?"

At that, the boy bolted from the room, ran directly home, and slammed himself in his closet. His older brother followed him into the closet and said, "What happened?"

The younger brother replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time. God is missing and they think we did it!"
