Good Morning all.
68 here awful warm for February.

i took the day off. Went waterfowl hunting this morning shot two canadas. There were several around. Lots of ducks mallards and wood ducks. But duck season is done until fall here. Lots of people fishing.

hope your back get back to normal. This warm weather will hve those gobblers screaming.

Good morning, Corky, hope ur having a good wkend.
Dan, u shouldn't have too hard of time getting a turkey this yr, if know one else comes in and spooks them.
No more beavers since Thursday, but it rained all night and Friday the water was really muddy. Today, it was muddy and high. We set 3 conibears on floats in the Allegheny River yesterday. I don't think they look too deadly, but last yr, Chuck and his buddy caught 2 in them. I think Chuck said season goes out the end of March. We'll probably quit before that.
Went to a Blue Grass festival last night. It was fun! Met friends from McMurray there and we've been friends of members of one of the bands for yrs. Before they played a couple of them sat with us. I asked if they were taking reguests, because if they were, I wanted to hear "Fox on the Run". He laughed and said that's their opening song.
A guy in one of the bands told this joke: A woman with a baby was getting on a train, the conducter helped her on and then told her she had the ugliest baby he had ever seen. She was so shocked anyone would say something like that, that she was speechless and went in and took her seat. She started talking to the guy setting beside her and told him the conducter had said something rude and she wanted to go say something to him about it. The guy beside her, told her she shouldn't get upset and try to let it go, but she couldn't and finally said, she was going to go talk to the conducter about being so rude. The guy beside her said ... Well if ur going to talk to him, hand me ur monkey, I'll hold it while ur gone. 😄 Chuck couldn't quit laughing at that, then I laughed at him laughing until I had tears in my eyes. Guess we need to get out more.
Cold windy and snowing here, I'm packing to go to the casino with my SIL and MIL for 2 nights. Chuck said to take as much money as I want, just don't loose it.

Corky had a super weekend went to Southeastern Treeing Walker days Saturday had a blast seen some friends got pick on some of them a little bit also was asked to judge on the panel that picked the overall bench show champion which was great got back home charged up my new toys and even though the wind was screaming went out and played with them and they are a hoot

I got home from the casino before Chuck and his friend got back from checking traps. They brought home our 5th beaver!!! Took it out of my trap!!! I'm lovin it 😄

Rob, the guy were giving our pelts to is getting a beaver mounted; he caught last yr, but hasn't got it back yet. We thought about getting the first beaver we got last yr mounted, but we're running out of room. Chuck wants to get everything mounted! Our family room is appr 22' by 27' and it's full!! And we have a fisher, bobcat and buck at the taxidermist yet. I told Chuck no more mounts unless he gets a bigger buck. If he doesn't want to sale a bobcat, if we get another one; we'll get a hat or something made out of it. If we get enough beavers for Lynn's coat and have any extras, I'm getting mittens made.
Did u get a design on the skulls of European mts? That's becoming a big thing here.

Corky, U stay safe, too. March is coming in like a LAMB here. It was supposed to rain all day, but I don't think it has rained any after Chuck got back from cking traps. Its 56� and windy sometimes.

Chuck asked me to go with him looking for dams, but since I was gone for 2 days, I told him I needed to get laundry caught up and I'd make sauerkraut and pork for supper. Woman's work is never done.
