No good

Hunted Lumber and Earl hunted his Hawk II male and cur female. We made one tree and it was hollow but didn't see a big enough whole for a circle tree. Then ran one in a hole. Called it a night.

Sounder

He should be on the East Coast next weekend so I will try to give you all the info where in case your concider breeding to him out there. I'm sure Robert will take you hunting anytime you want to go. Sounder is PKC AND Performanced so he is good to go. I hope Robert finishes him to Grand Nite out there. I think Sounder will be in Virginia for a bit then New Jersey is where he will eventually be.

Finally got to the woods last night

I hunted Sounder and Lumber. I figure Sounder wanted to go and he was going to make me pay for not hunting him all season but once.
First drop both struck at same time and worked a good track and tapped a tree but went on and ran the coon in a hole. They decided well lets go back and check the tap tree and it was slick.
Next drop Sounder struck then Lumber and it wasn't a good track and the worked about 800 yards then treed and had the meat.
Next drop Lumber struck then Sounder and they split up. Sounder worked down alone the river while Lumber worked 50 yards to the left of him. 1.5 miles later they treed this cold track and it was a den. Lumber ended up coming to Sounder and I walked my tail off. 1:30 am I headed home. Tracks were rough and Lumber learned a few things tonight I think. Those two sure sounded good working together. I didn't get to my hot spot beacuse of were they struck tracks at. On the way out I did see two singles setting up. Sounder is fat that he gives me 100% every turnout.

Good morning Elmo,
Looking forward too hunting Sounder in the same wood as his sire. Big mountain's and big trees. Buddy Mac was a boy when he broke timber, but now he is ALL MAN and looking forward too putting sounder same woods. I will push him too comp. hunt Sounder. Surgery went well

I have a drain tube in my calf that I have to keep in till next Friday the 14th so no hunts that weekend for sure.

Sounder my be in Powhattan Va for a while till Robert or Buddy Mac takes him to New Jersey or North Carolina. Robert will be able to answer all these questions.
I believe they will be pleased even more with this hound once they knock the fat off him.
I think they will Grand him out with a little tweaking. He will show them coons that is for sure.

Robert Randalph, Frank Barber and Buddy Mac should be here late Friday to pick up FAT SOUNDER. I wish I could get him in the woods this week so he will look even better when they turn him loose in NJ, Virginia and NC. I believe they will be pleasantly surprised with him once his fat is ran off him.
I like getting my blood out east and everywhere else I can get it.

Sounder will be here a least another week. I bred and raise him. Even watched him being born so I am very partial to this hound. He is sitting here in a pen with a walker puppy to keep the pup quiet and he shares his food with no problems and even plays with the 7 week old puppy. His disposition is so good and his heart is so kind. He just wants to make me happy. Maybe is I get this drain out of my calf and stitched up I can take him for our final hunts together or decide to keep him here and finish him out. I don't like getting attached to dogs because it's to hard to let them go and I don't like seeing them get old and not do what they love.

Drain is out and I have 15 stitches that will come out next Wednesday!
Robert and Frank are suppose to be here this weekend coming up sometime Friday night. I will turn him loose if they want to see him go. Man Sounder is mud fat but he will get the job done.

Not a great hunt but did get out for the first time in a while. Lumber is fired up and ready to go. I need to get him ready for April. I should have stitches out next Wednesday. Den, Slick and track not finished got on gravel road. Hunted with a young Walker that can get wooded quick. Beats coon to tree sometimes but I think he will be a good one and hard to get a tree on.
