Crosses off 6 Again dogs

Yes- Kevin I have made some crosses with these 4 and some others. Big Boy has been crossed on Terri twice. Look back a few post and read about Jamie Snyder's Lucy female-she is a 19 month old from the 2nd cross. Earl Blount's Bronco dog is from the 1st cross. I had a male called Good Boy from this cross that got ran over. He was all the convincing I needed to make the cross again. There is another 1 from the cross that is a slober mouthed tree dog, owned by a non coon hunter who shoots squirrels out to him. Big Boy was also crossed on Lady and only 1 pup lived. I call her Lady Bug-she acts, looks, hunts and sounds just like Big Boy-with any luck I will be hunting her in hunts soon. Her mother has been in 1 hunt and has a 1st pl,so I would like to make her dam a nite ch. before I put Lady Bug in the hunts. Rejet was crossed on Hope (6 Again X Gr Nt Ch Birdy) and these 8 months olds are looking good so far. Rejet has also been bred to my May Flower female (5 Again X Flower-6 Again's dam)-will let you know how this works and the others.Each cross must prove it's self here. If my young Rejet male continues on the course he is on I will cross him back to females directly out of 6 Again the next time they come in heat. Thanks for asking!

Gotta love it! Raising pups that were born great naturals is what makes it lots of fun. Good luck with them and I hope you have a lot of success with these crosses.

I remember years ago you talking about the CW dog not needing to be hunted a bunch before he could win any cast you put him in. Sounds like you are still building on that.

Wonder how Big Boy and Rejet would cross on some of those Boots offsprings out there that have CW several times in their ped?

hey icb? what was the old sky dog like? i had a male outa 6 and sky he was awesome took 5th place open at palestine 2008 1rst hunt we ever went to!! i have a female outa him and she is real nice we bred her to buzz and got an awesome cross which was lotto and star lotto got lose 2 wks ago and we cant find him friend owns star she treed over 100 coon by herself this season at 2 years old anyway just wondering???

She was a medium/dark blue tan trim several black body spots tight built 50 lb package of energy. Not hyper though, but lots of hunt and drive. Very independant, but not a loner. Great personality, not a mean hair on her. She had an OK mouth on her. I could hear her plenty good down here in MO(couple of miles), but up in the thick humid heavy aired swamps of MI her coarser voice didn't carry as well as a clear high pitched voice does.

I chilled semen bred her to Jet 6. The delivery was about 10 to 12 hours late on it. Didn't get any pups. I would have kept her but was looking at buying back a female out of Jet V and my Inga female. The way things turned out I should have kept her. ;-)

I sold Sky back to Ed or Terry or someone else up there. Can't remember exactly how it worked out. I think I left her up there with Ed and he either kept her or sold her for me.

Nt Ch Warrior Creek CW

This is the CW dog at a very young age. He was called Blue Bio Blue Jet untill Heyward Douglas changed his name to Warrior Creek CW. At the ripe old age of 18 months he ended up 21st at the UKC World Hunt and never lost a cast along the way. We bred him to Bess II and the Spanky Sue female of mine. Bess III (Yarbrough's Blue Bess) came from Bess II. Jet 7, Iron Will and the Hanna female came from Bess III and Jet 6. My Flower female came from Spanky Sue and CW. Flower and Jet 6 produced 6 Again. The CW dog got on the current reproducers list with the minimum 100 pups, appearing the 1st time at #2 on that list.

....and my Bess was a littermate to Spanky Sue and Bess III (Yarbrough's Blue Bess). There is a picture of my Bess treed on a scent drag at 11 weeks old in the 95 BBOA bluebook. I had to lock her up after she ran the scent drag and treed for about 30 minutes because when I put her back in the pen she climbed over and ran back to the woods and went back to treeing again.

My biggest regret is that I didn't get her bred to Jet 6. Had the name change rules been the way they are now I would have given her back to Ed so that he could have crossed her on 6 and whatever else he wanted to.

I hope to own another like her someday.

6 Again's PAD

Dave the most current PAD that I have seen shows 8 Nt Chs and 2 Gr Nt Chs. He also has 2 Chs and 3 Gr Ch. As I stated before, I know of two more dogs with 1st place wins. The 10 dogs that have reached degrees put his record at 18.5%. If just one of the two dogs I mentioned with 1st finish or any others finish this would put him over 20% which is where I expected him to be one day. So good to get to visit with so many at the Reunion this weekend. Ultimately 6 Again's grand pups may prove to be his greatest contribution. All great dogs do not perform as a stud. This was not a problem for him. In a perfect world the dog would still be alive or at the very least have been collected. I am glad for what we did get out of him.

Everyone in this photo has walked behind Jet dogs. Gonna miss the visits during the Winter Classic each year. Many people from all over the country came to hunt here prior to the hunt each year. Many good memories and more than a few wins. Terry Tucker, Bob Kennedy, Ed and Danny Glista.

I took my rejet and hope pup out with my old dog last night. Moon (my rejetxhope pup) struck the track and and my old dog backed him. They ran for about 100 yrds and treed. They had a big den. He met me 10 yrds or so back off the tree but thats just the pup in him. He sure is showing alot of sign of makin a plum gooden. Just thought i'd share this with you guys.

I LOVE LUCY

Jamie Snyder's 1 year old female won her cast last night at the Flint River Coonhunters in Roberta, Ga. This cast win will make her Nt Ch Snyder's I Love Lucy. Lucy is out of Nt Ch Gr Ch Blue Bio Big Boy x Blue Bio Terri Tooker. The best thing about Jamie and Lucy is he just calls her as she does. Jamie does not pitch her on strike or tree and is content to play by the rules. He is proud of his dog and that is reflected in how he handles her in what we refer to as our "Sport." Had the pleasure of meeting Jamie's Father and his Uncle. Having met them it is easy now to see the role models they have played in turning out the Jamie I have gotten to know. Much success in the future for Jamie and Lucy. It is refreshing to meet young people who demonstrate that you can still win in the hunts and hold your head up as a man. Good luck and way to go.
