is back to his old self. The antibiotic's helped him get over the hump.

Bred Wendy to Smoke Sunday. Get in the dark and get treed puppy's on the way!!!!!

Pearl ( Pop A Top ) is in also and should be ready next Saturday.

So glad to hear that . Berda is really starting to come around. It will be a while before we hunt Barley again .He has an infection in his vocal cords from barking non stop and swallowing the water while in the lake

We own Pearl. We bought her last year to cross on Smoke. She's a nice dog. Good track dog and nice tree dog. Got a lot of go in the woods. I hunted her last kill season and should have put her in the hunts but got side tracked and had others to promote.

Thanks Timmy. I was thinking it might have been Joe Allen's Grnite Pearl female you were talking about, I think she is off of Pop a Top Again, now that I think about it. I have a 13 month old gyp, off Pearl and Advocate, that is doing a pretty fair job. Really independent, accurate and a big mouth. Most all of our females are heavy Echo bred and all display these traits. Crossing your Pearl gyp on Smoke should be a GREAT cross.

I would like to breed this female out of airplane to smoke when she comes in season. Its just so dang far to ks. I d like to hunt w him but I really liked his demeanor at picture time. Id like to out cross her and I think from what I read about smoke I think it would work.

That will be an exciting cross. Your blood has done it's share of winning. Coondog x Coondog, winner x winner, King x Queen, I personally think it's a great idea.

Buckeye billy I would love to see that cross happen. I think it would produce some big winners. We are gonna collect smoke and store seemen soon so that would be an option. I'm sure we could make it happen somehow.

No hunts for us

right now. Timmy and I both are working almost around the clock it seems like. It is so dry here that I haven't even been hunting any pups. Hope to get some rain tonight.

We got Wendy bred and Pearl's 11th day of heat is today. Pearl will be bred to Smoke tomorrow.

Had to miss the Zone 1 hunt at Marshall this weekend because of work. Wish every body does good and has a blast. I know it is dry up there also but if the old dog is tuned there is still alot of coon that can be treed in Missouri.

Don't really know for sure yet. Saturday is the last day of overtime at Montrose station. Might not get off in time to go. Besides I think Sherrie has plans for me to be off and take her and the Grandkids camping. Been working overtime since April 14th and did get off for the Reunion and also for Nationals but other then that Iv'e been working every weekend. Think she might have plans that don't include a coon dog!!!!!!!haha

Smoke is all healed up and we are putting him and some pups back in the timber since it rained. Even though it's hot I think the moisture will help the young dogs alot.

Got two litters of Smoke pups on the way and it is time to get his mind back on hunting. It really won't be a problem because he is real good about keeping the breeding in the pen and hunting coon in the timber.
