It was a beautiful day in PA, but we spent most of it inside. We went to the Sportsmen's show. Didn't buy anything at it and came home a little ahead from the casino.

In the 50's here today. I was planning on riding Jas, but the guy that Chuck was going to trap beavers with got sick and can't go so I went. Got my boot stuck in the mud and fell on my right knee, later walking out, my left knee gave out and I fell again and hit my arm on sharp small tree trunk that the beavers chewed off. Instead of riding when we got home, I took apain pill and watched TV with the dogs.

Dan, is your back getting better?

Dan bet I was in the woods a whole lot longer than Wendell this past weekend enjoying hunting more than he did. Sunday morning I got in at 4:30 and had a great time. Can't say what Mr. Linkous did.

My knee hurt so bad this AM, I didn't go with Chuck to check traps. He came home and told me I should have been along.... I think so I could have carried out my beaver!! It weighed 50 lbs! Kind of glad I didn't go. We had 5 traps set, he picked the locations where to set 3 and I picked where to set the other 2. He didn't like where I wanted mine set, especially the trap that had the beaver in today!!! 😀

I had to work on our Twp audit tonight so Chuck took the dogs out. They treed one coon. He said Dandy did good at the tree tonight..some nights he does better than other nights. He's not near as as good as his mom when she was his age, but he's trying. I got a nice text over the wknd from a guy that got a pup from us. His friend and he each got one. He sent me a picture of the dogs sleeping on a sofa, then he sent me video of them treeing, then he sent me a text saying he couldn't be happier with his dog😀😀

We got 2 more beavers this AM!!! We each got one, they weighed around 30#s each. Chuck skins them, guess it's a real job compared to coons.
Not getting any mounted, Dan. He's giving them to a friend to get a coat made for his girlfriend. I looked at mittens and a hat at the Sportsman's show. Hope to get mittens made, but we need 8 (1/2 way there) more for her coat.

I HAVE BEEN GETTING MY FALL FIREWOOD CUT. A BEETLE IS KILLY ALL THE ASH TREES HERE SO I HAVE BEEN GUTTING SOME DOWN AND BURNING BRUSH. ASH NOT REAL GOOD FIREWOOD BUT THERE IS NO SENSE IN LETTING IT ROT. ALSO GETTING SOME LOCUST.
