Well fellas....Haley has decided to come into heat.

Haley came into heat this weekend and she'll be bred to Jack this week. I'll let you know about a due date when we get the breeding done.

I'm excited to see what Jack can do in the stud pen and I'm also excited to see what this much Brandy blood in pups produces in the timber.

Wish Jack and me luck in the stud pen!

Tim and Rusty

Well ya'll it has been 2 weeks since I was last able to get in the woods, but we had 3 nice drops this weekend.

Friday night we had a family hunt with tim rusty and my old duke dog. we got out late and only made one drop but wow. They all 3 got deep and went 3 different ways. My old dog got struck 800yds in and rusty pulled to him from about 400yds. They put that one in the ground and duke and rusty got struck again at .61 mile and treed at .88 mile deep with the meat. And boy did they tree. Tim was another 900yds by himself and openin decent on cold cold track that he jus couldn't seem to put a end too, but he didn't give up on it until we finally loaded him up.

Last night

Last night's hunt was a little different. A friend brought over his Walker dog that is a nice Solid hound. He's a 5yro Black Walker, That will get deep quick by himself and get hooked.
The 1st drop they rolled a lil over 200yds and hit a cold cold track and finally finished it in a den.

But the 2nd drop we cut loose and the walker rolled out quick and headed right handed on a hot track that he finished in the ground, and Tim and Rusty sat down quick on a nice pop up with the meat by themselves and while the walker was pullin back to him he sat down about 30ft away from them on a big oak that had a nest and a coon 2 tree's over where he was. The walker was running back and forth between his tree and the other dogs while tim and rusty never dropped there feet off the tree. They both hammered hard and was fully committed.
I could have asked for a better showing out of these 2 young hounds that have been layed up for 2 weeks.

Dixieland red Tim

Well boys we got somethin goin on now. Dad has put alot of time in this JaboxSatie pup.
We cut him loose last night with Rusty and they got gone quick. Rolled in about 700yds and started workin around on a cold track and Rusty came back then went 100yds left handed, but Tim stayed out and finally worked this cold track up the holler to finish it in a big oak tree with the ringtail sittin up high. It was a bad track and he finished it in style.
Tonight we cut them loose again with dad and my father in law and it was a rough night. We made 4 drops and finally Tim rolled in .65 mile and sat down under another oak with another real nice coon sittin up high.
That's 2 nights with 2 coon seen both well over 600yds in from a 2yro dog that ain't been hunted much at all until about 8 months ago. He will be entered in the next hunt that I can get him to.
If nothing changes I feel he has the ability to finish out quick.

I jus wanna thank Mr.Larry Stringer for allowing me this opportunity with another nice Jabo pup.
