no i didn't ss spot, its kinda high for us poor folk, i sure would if i could afford it, he has 2 litters and there is several already doing good, the oldest being 10 months.

Main Street Mason Jar

I caught me a big ole fat coon last night. I took him and Mace out to the woods. Mace never knew I had it. I released him and watched him run and go up a big ole cedar. I waited a few and then turned Mace out. He struck it in the edge of the woods, run it and treed it like a champ. I was going to shoot it out to him but he went in the thickest cedar in that holler and I couldnt find him. He did great and sounded great. He is also running his own track when he comes across one he likes. Next step is hunting the hide off of him and let him find his own wild coon. I just wanted to share and let you guys know how much I love my Spot and Moonshine pup.

Mace

Took Mace and my other redtick out last night. Had a trapped coon. Same scenario as the last one. Never let them see it. Went and turned it out and let it run. It got away from me and I didnt see where it went up. Turned the dogs loose and Mace went in there and absolutely blowed my redtick out of the woods. Struck on it twice and treed. Went and got the gun came up there and sure enough there he was. I rolled it out to him. He got some hair in his mouth but before he could waller it good the redtick came in and got it by the throat and took off with it. I had Mace tied back so he couldnt leave the tree. He got a pretty good taste anyway. He is fixin to bust loose I think. Gonna get him some alone time.

Mace

I caught 20+ pound boar coon last night. Took Mace out by himself. I turned the coon out and he marked two trees right off the bat and kept going. I went back to the truck and waited a few minutes. I got Mace out and turned him loose. He struck it and checked both trees and kept going. He ran it out 100 to 150 yds and I thought he was going to tree it there. He stopped barking aftera minute and came back. He kept going to the first tree that the coon marked and was wanting to tree on it. I kept telling him that it aint there and finally I walked around the tree in a big circle and he picked it up again and went back after it. He barked again in a few min and I eased down to him. I could hear him walking on what sounded like a piece of tin or metal. When I got there he was in the middle of an old pig lot. In the lot was one big tree. He started treeing hard on it when I got there so I shined it and sure enough there he was. I shot him out and let Mace have it all to himself. It almost give him the slip. I think that if that hog lot hadnt been there he would have treed it the first time but he stuck with it and found it. I think he worked it to that lot the first time and lost it at the fence and couldnt figure out how to get in it. I am going to take him out tonight and see if he can tree me a wild coon. Will let you guys know.
