Rob, sorry to read about your wife. Prayers for her and WB's friend, Robert's family.

Corky, Thanks for the good luck wishes, but I left more of my $ in WVA, than I wanted to....we had a good time even though we came home losers.

Finally, had the 22 with us when the dogs treed. They treed 4 times, but couldn't find anything in 2 big pines. The other 2 trees were oak, one had 2 in it and one was in the other.

Tomorrow its suppose to be almost 70° and on the wkend snow, wind and cold. 😟

Whew that wind is nasty! We drove around the place to check gates & just poke around and it is a tad on the cool side. I just saw a few flurries today & no rain to stop the harvest.

Rob, hope ur wife is better soon. I looked up what she had...nasty. I never heard of it before either. Gives me one more reason to put off knee surgery. I never had kidney stones, but friends say they're nasty.

Dandy and Ruby treed twice tonight. The first tree, Chuck couldn't see its head so we left it for another night. The 2nd tree had 2 in it. We brought home one of those. If the weather forecast is right, we probably won't be hunting for awhile. Then deer season comes in the Monday after Thanksgiving and a couple of the landowners won't want us hunting on their property for 2 wks.

WB, Best Wishes for the bride and groom tomorrow.

Been a while since I've been on, looks like everybody is busy. Drove almost 2 hours to Belington last night for a show, Daisy got beat in the champion show but Thunder who just turned 6 months old yesterday, won best of breed, class and best male of show. He's a solid hound, I've had him hunting a couple times, he's not afraid to go and he constantly has his nose to the ground. I'm excited about this pup. Rifle season starts here Monday, I have a couple decent bucks here that need to find their way in my freezer.

Congrats on the coyote, Dan. Chuck came up the other night after fleshing coons and said he heard a bunch yipping behind the barn. With all the doe running around here with NO fawns, I hope we or someone can thin a few out this yr.
Congrats on your win with your pup, WVcoonrunner. This is the first yr I tried showing at bench shows. Dandy (our pup) and Ruby (his mom) made show champion. Chuck had shown Ruby a couple of times, she had pts, but needed a win.
Snowing here now. Ray, Chuck's 78 yo friend, got his first bear this AM. We went out to help him drag it out. I supervised and helped getvit over a few logs. We just got back to our Jeep before it started raining hard.

It's 29° here, with a real feel of 17°...still snowing, but just flurries.

Rob, congrats to ur daughter on getting her buck. Hope ur wife is feeling better.
My brother is big into goose hunting. He has Chesapeake Bay Retrievers.
Chuck hunted them and ducks yrs ago, but when his uncles quit, he gave it up, too. I'm not a big fan of the meat so was glad when he did.

WB must have really celebrated at the wedding. He hasn't been on for a few days.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE
25 HERE THIS MORNING, AT LEAST THE WIND HAS QUIT.

REX,
I DO NOT CARE FOR THE WATERFOWL MEAT EITHER. WE BREAST THE GOOSE OUT AND I GRIND THEM AND MAKE JERKY. A GUY WE HUNTED WITH SAID HE MAKES SAUSAGE AND THAT ITS GOOD WITH 50/50 PORK. I ALSO GIVE THEM TO WHO EVER WANTS TO TRY THEM. I WAS SENT A PIC OF A BEAR THAT WAS TO HAVE BEEN KILLED IN SOMERSET COUNTY PA LAST FRIDAY, 700 + POUNDS. THAT WOULD BE A GOOD ONE. MY COUNTY BORDERS SOMERSET AND I HUNT THERE A LOT. I WILL HAVE TO SEE IF I CAN AD PIC HERE. MY WIFE FOUND IT ON FACEBOOK.

DANW,
CONGRATS ON DEER. KEEP PLUGGIN ALONG. MY DAD IS 70 AND HE STILL GOES WHEN HE CAN. HE ALSO WORKS HIS HORSES EVERYDAY.

WVCOONRUNNER,
YOU GET A DEER.

Posted by Rex Ridge on 11-22-2016 10:10 PM:

Dan, where's the picture of your deer?

Slough, No jokes today? What's the difference between bird flu and swine flu? One u cure with tweetment and the other with oinkment.

Rob, we've made turkey jerky before.
I saw the 700+# bear on FB, too. It said the guy got it with a bow.

Just looked out the window...there's a little buck eating apples in the orchard. Its a 5 pt; he's legal here on Monday.

So sad to hear about the school bus accident in TN. Six children died. Praying for their families and friends.
