Smoke pups

Been getting a few calls on pups out of Smoke.

I have one litter due in the next 5 days and have 3 females spoken for. These pups are out of NtCh Mad Dog Little Lou. Don't know how many she will have so I'm not takeing any bookings yet. I will post them after we see how it all turns out.

2009 National Queen of Hunt GrNtCh GrCh Big Time Spankin Wendy is due in some time this next month and will be bred to Smoke. I have one female spoken for out of that litter. Just have to wait and see what she has.

Smoke has one litter on the ground that are 6 months old and they have all been sold. Every one of them seem to be doing something in the woods now. They were out of a heavey Utchman bred female and they were all exceptional pups.

I will post the peds on these females after we see what we got.
They both have great peds.

Thanks again for all the calls and PMs and responce on the thread.

We are back to hunting and will show any of our dogs in the woods at any time as we hunt most of the week any how. Dan Hoffman is comming to hunt with us next thurs. night. Every one is welcome at any time. Just give us a call and we will set up a time to go. We have plenty of coon and some really good hunting.

Lou

Had pups early and we had bad luck. Last night she had two that were alive and now she is down to one. Good lookin little male with a nice marked head and a couple of spots on his hips. Hope he has the looks of his daddy.

Lou's heat cycle was messed up from the last litter that she had and got sick. This next time the vet will get to do the dirty deed.haha

We are waiting on Wendy to come in and she should cycle some time in June. Cross our fingers.

If Timmy is not in the hay field next weekend he might take Smoke to the Flora All Blue Showdown. We will just have to see how the week goes.

Keep us posted and thanks for the congradulations. The guys on the all blue showdown thread did kind of call the team out. I just know we are just settling down from nationals and that would be a tough trip for us. Maybe you could talk Robbie or others into going with you if you get to go. Sorry to hear about Lou's pups.Hope the last one makes it. We named the little Female Berda. It is An Irish name meaning one who is strong and protective .Berda was the goddess of fire and wisdom . She is doing great . She fit right in with all the other dogs and with us . Again Thanks for Berda.

Hunts

We are working on trying to go to Flora if the weather cooperates. We need rain bad but we also have hay that needs to be put up. If the rain comes in like they say the latter part of the week, Timmy will go to the Showdown with Smoke.

I have been scheduled to work this comming weekend and wont be able to go myself. We are still doing an overhaul on the generating unit and working 10 hour days, 7 days a week till the end of June.

Vickey, glad the pup worked out. I liked her personality and she should be a coon crazy pup. Hows Barley? Is this weekend the youth hunt?

Hitting the woods every night and keeping the dogs tuned.

Starting a Wendy pup this week also. She will go all the way with the old dogs, just waiting for the light to come on. She is wired 440 so we hope she don't short out. haha

YEp this is the big weekend Morgan and Barley go on his first hunt . She is excited and nervous with all her sports and school she has not been up in a while to hunt him but we are taking her out friday so she will relax for sat I will let you know what happens then we will head to Iowa for the Zone championship the next weekend .

Thanks everybody we had a good hunt fri smoke had the high score of the night.
Tonight he had first and first on a coon then next dump got treed by himself. When we got to the tree he was 20+ feet up in a leaner tree. I shimmied up to attempt to get him and he jumped out, hit a small limb on way down and landed on his left side/ shoulder. He got up and was in bad pain. I figured he wouldve broke something for sure, but everything seemed ok. Shined the tree, it was runnin into 2 other trees and thick with leaves. Couldnt get the coon to look. another dog got treed a ways away with 2 kittens. After scorin that tree smoke acted like he wanted to go huntin. We had 45 min left and they went a ways down the holler. he opened a few times and sounded like he came on a tree. No one got another coon treed. When I found him after hunt time he was walkin around woods like he was in a daze. We loaded him up and he seemed out of it and gettin worse so we took him to the local vet. He sad he was in shock, nothin broken he thought severe brusing. He iv d him with dex and gave him a shot for the pain. He seems really out of it hadnt moved since we left flora. But breathin seems ok. Ill keep everyone posted.
