I DONT UNDERSTAND ONE THING THEY WONT USE A TRACTOR BUT PULL A POWER UNIT TO RUN PTO EQUIMENT.

YEA AND THEY WILL NOT HAVE RUBBER TIRES ON TRACTORS THAT HOLD AIR. BUT IF THE FARMER NEXT TO THEM WILL LET HIM USE THEM HE WILL USE THEM. I WAS TOLD THEY DO NOT WANT TO TRAP AIR IN TIRES, BUT THEY WILL USE AIR COMPRESSORS IN SHOPS. WE HAVE ALOT OF THEM IN SOMERSET COUNTY PA, THEY LET US HUNT COON. WILL LET YOU HUNT DEER BUT THEY SLAUGHTER DEER AROUND THEM.

I brought a new red bone male back from Oaks with me to SC~ he seems to be adjusting to the heat OK. I had him inside during the day, but he wanted to go out with all of my others.

I sure have been careful with all of mine this summer. It has been HOT here....not just HOT, but HOT for days!!! No rain! UGH!

Fall is comin' tho......

Just noticed this thread on here as I don't get on this part of the site much, but a little Illinois info for everyone....

I am originally from the NE Missouri area but have lived in central Illinois most of my life....I'm where the northerners call me a southerner and the southerners probably call me a northerner...Here in central Illinois sweet tea is a must for me...I have a good friend of mine that lives north of me 2.5hrs in Sterling/Rockfalls....I go to visit and hunt with him often and everytime we go out to eat I order sweet tea knowing that they infact do not have it...

Just recently on a visit I ordered a sweet tea and a Horse Shoe the waitress replys "I'm sorry we don't have sweet tea, but we got Rasberry tea". (does anyone really drink rasberry tea?) I said well just bring me a regular tea and a Horse Shoe. With a puzzled look on her face she looks at me and says "what's a Horse Shoe?" I said, " you are kiddin right??" and still she answer " nope" with a laugh....I look across the table at my buddy and his cousin and a couple other coon hunting friends as if she said whats a Waffle House...After a couple moments I too noticed the strange confused looks on everyone elses face as well...And soon my big mouth could no longer keep shut. I started questioning and blurting out "you all don't know what a Horse Shoe is?? they all said NO....There was not one soul in that restuarant that knew what a Horse Shoe was! I was stunned to no end...I told the waitress "hunny this aint gonna work. Does anyone really order rasberry tea?? lol I kinda laughed at her and said no thanks....Well, she could see the disappointment in my face so she brings me a regular tea along with a cup of sugar water/molasses or something along those lines. I couldnt help but smile at her as I sat there at that table lookin like I was def. from out of town...the kind of ora as if nobody picks you to play on their team....Much like the northerners/southerners thing where it seems I am unwanted lol.

TOMATO SANDWICH

I JUST PICKED A TOMATO FROM MY LITTLE GARDEN AND MADE A SANDWICH. JUST WONDERING IF EVERYONE ELSE MAKES TOMATO SANDWICHES AND WHAT ALL YOU PUT ON THEM.

I TOAST THE BREAD AND BUTTER IT. SLICE TOMATOS KINDA THICK. A LITTLE SALT AND PEPPER. MAYONAISE NOT MIRACLE WHIP ( BUT I LIKE IT TO ). A FEW SLICES OF SHARP CHEESE. THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE SUMMER LUNCHES. ALSO HAD A GLASS OF SWEET TEA.

I can't think you'll have any problem in PA but you do have to be carefull some places up north. I went as a groom to deliver some racehorses to Maryland. The grooms started their day with black coffee with a shot of vodka. When the sun got up one fixed me breakfast of Liverwurst, Frumunda Cheese on Rye Bread. I had never tasted any one of them before but I was hungry. I never had heartburn before or since but I asked them to call a vet cause I was dying of Colic. Be careful.

I got over it. I asked the groom,"What in the world is that Frumunda Cheese?" He said it's one of those "Arromatic Cheeses" like he was some kind of a cheese expert. I said, "well it stinks is what it does". He said, pointing, "well it's supposed to smell like like it comes Frumunda here and from under hyah.
