Hey guys this dose not have anything to do with what is on this post. But could you guys help me out.

Is there anyway to copy photos from one forum to another? I could get the wording to copy but the photos would not copy over. If there is an easy way too do this let me know.

Thanks

Ps I do like all the Vaughn / Arkie talk so keep that up.

Does anyone have anything off the West Virginia Ruger dog? I think he was by Littlejohns Arkie and Littlejohns Fanny? I had a female with him on the bottom side, she had an outstanding nose. I think Dale Adkins had him at one time or another.

Mr. Fischer are you by chance the guy who had the ole coolwater blue wes dog, that Joe Sebastian used back in the seventies.

Posted by Kenbev on 02-14-2010 12:04 AM:

I have never heard of the Ruger dog. Dale Adkins is about two hours West of me. I think I can safely say that Ken Fischer didn't own the Coolwater Wes dog either. That dog was probably older the Ken....

Arkie's Blue Ruger was a good looking hound. We owned a littermate brother to him that came from Jim Hinson. Arthur Hall, down in Florida, bought a female from me and bred her to Ruger.

Steve you might be thinking about a different Ruger dog. I raised and trained the Ruger dog that Dale Adkins bought. I actually raised the whole litter here in Texas. Arkie's very first litter. Ruger would be about 13 years old now if still alive. He was an amazing pup. He treed his first coon at 4 1/2 moths old. Actually made 3 trees that night and had coons in 2 of them. He did this with no other dog around. I sold him because I liked my Rock dog better. Ruger was HUGE with show dog looks. Wheighed approx 100lbs. I just cant think of any other males out of that cross that wound up any where else. Dad or Mr Jim didnt get any of those pups that I can remember. I know Dale was just "sick" that Ruger lost his mouth at a pretty young age and never got but about half back.

Steve, thats Ruger alright. You most have had a full brother from another litter instead of a littermate.

Adkins Blue Dog Blue

I have said it before and I will say it again. Adkins Blue Dog Blue was the hardest tree dog I have ever seen of any size, breed or color.... I have hunted over 50 years and still have never seen a dog tree like Blue. All the Blue Dog Blues were good tree dogs but Number ONE had them all beat....

That's an interesting pedigree. I've always heard Elbert Vaughn had two different lines, Bawler and Blue Jack. Looks like Blue Dog Blue had equal shares of both. With the exception of Lula who was a sister to Bawler.
Ken, we spoke earlier about hounds not only having good dogs in their pedigree, but outstanding crosses. This is a perfect example!
Great looking hound, great foundation breeding. How would you like to have him back?

Ken

can you show pedigree's of some of any of your crosses you have planned this coming year? maybe pics of mom and dad? just when you get there or it comes up. There's no hurry. Just if you get or chance or get to it I'd be intersted in your vaughn crosses? Thanks Devin.

I would give every dog on my place for BLUE DOG BLUE back... I think he had the perfect pedigree. He also showed it in the woods and in the stud pen.....

Watch for my threads on all the boards. All the crosses with pictures and pedigrees will be listed. I plan to make a few crosses with my young dogs this Spring....

track driving brutes on a hot track. ability to drift a cold track. Not the kind of dogs to just wallow a track out.

Mack dogs

I never had anything directly off Mack. But have had several that were heavy Mack blood. They were good track dogs. Their biggest asset was treeing ability. They were hard, intense tree dogs....
