Ron, i hunted with 2 Blue females & have video of 1 of 2 xbred females that Burkholder has that are nice. We own Lil Bit Country that we would be glad to show anytime, DOB Feb. 5, 2018. Larry Harvey has outstanding female, Queen, that can get job done. Steve has 2 xbred females from Jerry Molls' walker litter that can get it done. Am sure there has to be more from different litters. John Strickland, thank you for a first hand tell it like it response. Thanks to all involved who have and are currently hunting and promoting Country. The Bluetick breed has been in bad need of a hound like Country who speaks for himself no matter where in the USA he’s hunted. The icing on the cake is these nice young dogs out of him starting to show up.

Best wishes for continued success in the hunts and breeding arena for years to come!

Donnie Walston, thank you sir for sharing your first hand experience with multiple pups out of Country. I’m sure you anguished over the decision to sell him. I’m tickled too death he is continued to be promoted!

HE SURE IS. In case your not aware how this game is played to get through the zones, but if you have a score Fri. night that will get you thru, Sat. night, ya 'back off the pedal' & '"keep your nose clean' that might cost you to scratch out, so you don't advance. I’m not in the market for a new coondog and don’t see me being in the market for another anytime soon, living right in town is a pain in the ass when you have to keep all your dogs in the house and I’m always busy working when the hunting is good. I wonder some days why I still even own a coondog I have.

Lived up to the hype

After guiding at the world hunt and getting to see Country go I can say hes one of the few that after hearing all the hype has lived up to what I've heard. No he didnt win the cast and I know it was only 2 hours but he was alone with a coon as fast as you can ask for. I was impressed and besides what i saw performance wise the dog has a brain. Mr Strickland and Country are buddies and a tough pair cant imagine anyone who would want to draw this duo unless it's just to see for yourself. Nice hound nice guy.

John/Big Country

No doubt thus is as fine a pair as it gets, John is first class and BC is the real deal. John gives it to a man straight up when asked a question, I know. Someone said on another post that they would bet on BC in the best 2 of 3 nights, count me in that group. I would take him against anything in a best of 3 night Hunt off. He may get beat folks but it's not by much or very often. I hunt Walker dogs these days like most other hunters but I have always liked a good bluetick and am thrilled that one like Big Country has folks talking and cross breeding to him. I am more interested in ability than PR in front of a set of papers. Track and accuracy are the 2 things I look for in a coondog and he has both. Dave
