Ya, down there, you might need to do that to win. Was just mentioning that around here, it usually isn't necessary to go that far each drop.

In fact, if those folks/dog wants to stretch his legs in Iowa, stop in on Wed. night. I live 50 miles N of Quad Cities & 2 hrs. E of Marshalltown, Would be glad to take a hunt in big, safe hunting ground & have 2 spare beds & new kennel to use. Take care, Ron.

Thanks for the invite and I will pass that along,I know Terry has plans with Jim Mikesell and some friends early in the week.Pretty sure he will rest Banjo on Wednesday night.

With all of the great things we're hearing about x bred dogs , did anybody pick one of them to win?

Yes Per sleepys figures regarding win percentages the Walkers had a winning margin over ever breed except Black and Tan where they were tied at 50 percent each and the xbreed where they were 40 percent win vs 60 percent loss. While the xbreed numbers were small, they have done pretty good, the program is to new to see large numbers, but you can bet their numbers will grow as some of the recent crosses start getting some age. Look at the $KC and see some xbreed who have won their share and then some. Dave

Ace sure looked great in the 15 acre rabbit patch that he hunted in last night, cast scored on 5 and saw 15 sitting up.

Didn't look like Slammer found to many to tree in that rabbit patch we hunted in Fri. night!!! Guess we just didn't have the dog power along to get job done, like you did Sat. night. Good luck in future to everyone that got thru. Take care, Ron.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe that I am the only one that thinks that Gr Nt Ch Shannon's Virginia Red PDR Roc is going to win.

Posted by DOGSSTRICK on 09-16-2019 01:57 PM:

Dave, I really wanted him to just get gone and stay gone on saturyday night,Didnt even want to hear him around, to be sure he;d stay out of trouble. He treed a coon 980 yrds deep,I would have gotten deaf and kept going but he was in behind a house, so I waited until they got on the leash and treed, walked 35-40 minutes to him to plus up a coon, after that we had 30 mins or so to hunt, turned loose the other dogs run a coon in a corn field the rest of the hunt, he was 700 or so yards the other way, with the hunt down to seconds I treed for a hail marry it didn't work out and he got beat by mr Jeff murphy which by the way is packing a pretty nice hound. So call it what you want but now you knw what happened without trying to speculate and if you do have some nice WATERFRONT property in ten then im interested lol John Strickland

John

Why would you shortchange your dog, either he is the best or not in whatever cast you hunt him in. Are you saying that you could have beat the Redbone that night, just asking now that you have explained. I have no doubt that Big Country is the real deal, a dog anyone would be proud to own. The closest beach to me is in South Carolina. Lol. Good luck in the World Hunt. Dave

Don't blow my comment out of context, it was based on his performance not mine. It was a comment made on Saturday nights outcome , I have nothing against John or Big Country. Dave
