No chicken dinner tonight. One male walker got scratch for riding another male walker, take it from there!! Treed on big woven wire fence and drew minus. Treed a couple coons and to top it off treed a slick tree near end of hunt. Walker bitch won our cast. At least it was a good group to hunt with! Zone is next stop!

Thanks Roy! We at least had a pretty good cast and hope to have the same at the Zone. Horn did not have his best night but did hustle gave his all I believe. Won't win them all but do like for a hound to give is all.

Took Horn and Misfire last night and made three dumps and two trees and one in a field tile. They got together one time. That is more than I thought! Called it a night as it was a hot one and Misfire is not in that good of hunting shape.

Took Horn last night and it was a banner night for our area. It was only 56 degrees and we just had 6 to 7 1/2 inches of rain. To stay out of the water we hit the hills and the first dump Horn ended up right at the mile marker with one in a cedar tree, see two setting up along edge coming back. Next drop we made three trees and seen four coons. One of our better nights in a good while, tracks were hard to come by and a lot of it was the heat I feel. Just trying to keep Horn tunned for the Zone hunt this weekend in Marshall Illinois, been looking foward to it for a good while. Catch him right and he could get lucky!!

Horn had been treed for about 40 minutes and had the meat on a cedar tree -

See up at Marshall have a safe trip.
Been looking forward to this hunt so know he just needs to preform and maybe catch a break of two. Should be up there around noon tomorrow, shoot the breeze and catch up with some we have not seen for a while.

Took Horn for a short run last night prior to the Zone hunt. Made three dump and only hit one track and he got it treed. Did not seem the coons were moving very good.

First night at the Zones did not go as planned but had good hunt, nice hounds and some good sportsmen. Got beat but Corey and Horn did what they could. Horn got split ant the end of the hunt with first strike and first tree but could not find it on a big old Oak we could not shine very good, could have found it we would have had the cast win. Still have hope and hope both Corey and Horn will perform like last night and catch a break.

Second night at the Zones did not go much better. One hound treed right off the bat and Horn made a bark or two and went on but could not resist and went back and backed the dog trees. Before they got there one came in and got minus and Horn stayed. It was a hollow tree and in the bottom was a grinner, not what we were sure expecting but it is what it is!

i have followed you and your son on this board for several years. ya'll are always on here blowing up your dogs but they never seem to reproduce anything. you always have to go buy from someone else, nothing ya'll raise out of your own dogs turn out. why is that?

I'm not like some and think there is only one line, that is the problem today. Breed one a few times and if not what you like move on. Have had some out of all the so called greats and next best thing to slice bread and they either found another home or been culled. Hell gave some away that sold for big money, so see everyone thinks different about hounds. Not like some and keep them and feed them for a couple years and hope. The one old hound I have, Riptide that will be turning 8 soon and is the longest I ever kept one, straight yes even in your neck of the woods (LOL) when he trees he has coons not trees, handles the best and will hunt with the best. But that does not mean he is a reproducer, only been breed a few times, Horn has not been breed yet. We do not breed to brood bitches! Hell it is hard enough to get a good one out of two good hounds much less one. Some breed and breed to get one good one but I feel that that is a real mistake, JMO! Hell some do not even register them until they see what they are going to do, lots of this going on! If you have a good hound you would like to show me come up and we will go hunting in all these thick coons, maybe we could see a good hound in action? We may not have the best but sure not afraid to turn one loose! If a pups makes it here to 9 to 10 months old he will tree a coon or will not be here, and do not care what the breeding is! We have had few leave here that were descent hounds but not what we wanted, some have been put up for stud, some just hunted, some pkc money winners but not what we like. We don't breed junk too junk, have tried to breed coon dog to a better coon dog. What do you hunt, may be interested!! NEXT

Roy I tried to explain to him how we are but after reading it again not sure he would understand. No name, no phone call or phone number is a man hiding what he is hunting, and does not work and has too much time on this hands, JMO! Corey did not like it but I told him it won't be the last time but normally a real man would post his name or call. I have thick skin and can take it and yep can dish it out too - LOL! Don't you and Timmy work too hard!

Took Horn tonight to Kentucky and made three trees and see two coons. The one I'm not real sure he had, but he sure thought he did! Two pretty good tracks, one ran about 500 plus and the other right at 600. We hit coons but had to cover some ground to it.

Took Horn by himself and the first drop we treed a cedar tree with two kittens. We have treed a bunch this summer on cedar trees and found the majority of them, kind a uncommon. Next drop Horn treed a big Oak tree and we could not shine very good but did not find him. Last drop county road to the next and not one bark, called it a night!

Took Horn by himself last night and not a great night. Only ran two tracks and made two trees, seen one coon and one we did not find but feel he had to have it, ran a good track and slammed it. Really cooled down and more of the same tonight, but currently raining and may wait until tomorrow to go if it sets in.

We hit the road to Kentucky tonight and had what I call a very good hunt. We took Horn and Ol Riptide fat and out of shape. About time to start taking the pups once in a while as soon as the Indiana season opens.
First dump split and both had the meat Horn had two ups his! no pressure here!!
Second dump Riptide by himself deep and lonely!!
Third dump!
Horn by a cow lot about 200 yards with the meat, Ol Riptide a little jealous and went on through the section and not a bark. Drove around and headed him off.
Last dump we do not know, drove around and found them tree together, what a surprise! More meat!

Horn treed by himself across the Anderson River. We did not find it but could only shine a small area. Corey tried and got close to him but he got in a little too much water! That old brite moon made for a tough going tonight, tracks hard to come by!
