I'm 19 just started hunting last October. Now I go 4 or 5 nights a week at least year round

29.... but almost everyone I hunt with is 70+ years old. Most people in my generation are too lazy to hunt, work, or do anything else productive!!

I'm 73 and I think this young man gave the best answer to why our sport is dying.

I agree also but I also think we have turned kid's into the mindset of instant gratification 12 month old pups aren't finished dogs and you won't win everytime and throwing a fit won't get you to far it takes alot of time to make a real coondog and alot won't put the time in or have the patience to wait

I will be 55 in a couple of weeks .

You can not blame the kids for the way they have turned out and what their mind sets have brought fourth and the way their lifestyle is today, Every generation of parents wanted their kids to have a better life than they did and in doing so through the years they have created the monster you see today, A lazy bunch of people that wants everything handed to them on a Gold Platter .

Then you see what I see on a regular basis kids that want a chance and want to be cared about so desperately and probly will not get it you can only hope what time you spend with them will make an imprint on them enough to fight through it at my age I still Carrie scars from the past and they will to.
