I think people (and I am guilty of this too) get stuck in their own little fishbowl world and their only reference point is about their 30 good years.

I prefer to think of this as the Golden Age, and why not? You can't control it, and might as well make the most of your life.

Well of course you can't accurately compare a time when a person didn't live or be a part of. All you can go off of is the time you've experienced, and from that I can tell you about the only thing better today is technology.

According to history, I should be in my best money making years right now....income vs basic operating costs of electric, food, property taxes, and state and federal taxes, it isn't even close.

That's not what bothers me, I could live like a hermit and be happy, we already live cheap, that's not what life's about.

What bothers me is the current trend of this country on a lot of fronts. It bothers me that in the near future we may indeed look back on TODAY as the golden age. That has never in the history of America, been the American way.

So what do you think, since nobody is concerned about stripping Muslims first amendment rights, how about lets strip them of their second amendment rights as well. What do you think, America would be much safer if Muslims didn't have the right to bear arms, would it not?

If you look for positive things, you will find them. If you look for negative things, you will find them. All is good here. But, I don't let cult news networks brainwash me. I think that if people would stay away from the cult network leaders (Fox, MSNBC) they'd be happier.

Challenge: Avoid the cult news networks for 3 months (includes politically motivated radio stations and websites). If you do this, you will feel better about things. Sadly, many can not do this. It's like a drug or alcohol addiction. They need their "fix". Break Away, and you'll find things aren't so bad.

Again, give it 3 months. Break the addiction!!!

Tom I have seen posts that talk up your intelligence. Trump is talking about banning Muslims from migrating to the US as refugees or immigrating hear. A citizen can not come to the U.S/ as a refugee or immigrant. Again you are implying things that Trump never said. Where would you say we should look to find the Truth on Mr. Trump. I would advise you to turn off your tv go get you a Koran an read it. It might just open your eyes to realize Islamic Muslims is not a religion but a government cult that uses religion as a cover up to gain control of the world.

Now your question on stripping Muslims of there first and second amendment rights. No neither should happen. But if anyone in the United States believes in Sharia Law and wants to follow and implement Sharia Law should be charged with treason by the U.S. Attorney charged and convicted of trying to over throw the government and the laws of the U.S. nor should we let anyone migrate to this country that believes in Sharia Law.

BTW you can't in any way shape or form turn any argument around to defend Hillary it is absolutely Impossible ( CNN Clinton News Network )

To yadkinrivers post again we were at war with a country, thus we banned them based on their country, not their religion! We have NEVER banned people from this country based on religion!

Yesterday was a good day! I thought this when I woke up and sat on the back deck as I do every morning, scrolling through the news & drinking my morning coke. I sat their surrounded by the woods, the birds singing and the pups playing in the yard, it was a beautiful morning. I had the day off so I put dinner in the crock pot and worked on refinishing some old furniture. Last night we had a house full with the kids, spouses and the 2 grandsons. I am telling you this because while reading the news, & no not the mainstream many of you read or watch everyday, it reminded me of how blessed I am. I see the current path we are on as a threat to my peaceful existence and my grandchildren's future. The powers that be see our constitution as a block that needs to be removed and they are using it against us to tear it down and bring us to our knees. These same powers see our beautiful America as ill founded and undeserving of our blessings. There is a reason that they choose to keep the impoverished on the government dole. There is a reason that they want to federalize the police. There is a reason they want to bring millions more refugees, who not because of religion should not be allowed in but because of an ideology that goes against our freedoms should not cross our borders. There is a reason that they are bringing about world wide chaos from the riots and violence that is nearly incouraged here to the Middle East and Europe. There is a reason they have changed our childrens history books to fit their warped ideology. Nationalism around the world and here at home is a threat to their global agenda, an agenda that reaches into every aspect of our lives. As a result of the last 8 years we can easily see that this is no longer hidden and I will not cast a vote that will bring another 4-8 yrs of it hoping we can come out on the other side intact. I at one time thought all this was some crazy conspiracy theory, the last few years have brought me out of the bubble so many Americans live in everyday. I wish that some of you would pop that bubble and realize that your perfect candidate may or may not be in 4 more yrs we must do what we can with this hand we are dealt and that is to keep HC and her minions from inhabiting the people's house.

I stand corrected, Berger did take a swing, and I agree! I agree because the Constitution which is to be followed is polar opposite of sharia. To incorporate sharia the Constitution would be completely done away with. However the individual Muslim citizen can not be stripped of their rights, based solely on their religion. We are discussing individual rights not the bottle implementation of a new government. I agree with Berger!

I'm positive that whatever comes I'll be fine, and that's a pretty peaceful and positive outlook. I've learned a while back to be happy where I'm at, at the moment.

That's different than being unprepared. I believe that the increasing pace of some events makes it clear we have been warned.

ISIS can burn 6 people alive now in another country and it barely makes the news. That's just one of many fronts. I choose to see what's in front of me. Dealing with reality doesn't mean you're negative, just prepared.

According to your logic, Noah was a negative kook, and all the people laughing at him thinking they were living in a world of rainbows and skittles, were of the healthy mindset.

Actually anyone here within our borders are protected by the 1st ten amendments. Certain amendments are for only citizens which is mostly those that have to do with voting. This does not mean that we cannot use a vetting process that to those who would like to come across our borders have no constitutional rights until they are here. The difference between citizens and non that non should and can be deported and that Congress has enacted laws dealing with those who are or would be terrorist. The reason not to allow many Muslims in or to deport many that are here as non citizens is based upon their ideology not their religion, this is legal to do and not a violation of any rights.

Reality Europe is in chaos caused by lax immigration policies and open borders, now rape, sexual assult upon women is the norm. We have his would like to be predessor running who will stop at nothing to fulfill his shoes and is beyond the law. The problem with America is to many live with their head in the sand unaware of the world around them, they live in their own little happy world thinking that nothing bad will ever happen to them. Don't tell those who are waking up and are trying to be informed to stop it is all that will save us from waking up one day and realizing we are no longer free.

I probably won't get back on here today because I am going to watch Sean Hannity with the curtains (well aluminum foil) drawn shut.
