Got to have plus to win. Years back the lone dog, (was it Radar?) hunted until just after dawn trying to tree a coon that could be plussed to get above zero. All the other dogs had withdrawn for one reason or another.

Pg 91 of the rule book.

Saturday Night (Fifth Round) “The Final Cast” -
The top four cast winners with plus points deter-
mined from Friday Night will run together in one (1)
cast for two (2) hours. There will be two (2) non-
hunting Judges appointed by UKC for this cast and
guide(s) as needed. Dog with highest total score of
plus points for the Final Cast will be declared the
UKC World Coonhound Nite Hunt Champion. If
there is a tie, ties will be broken by applying the tie-
breaking procedure. If no dogs have a total score of
plus points, dogs involved (unless scratched) will
hunt in one hour intervals until a winner is declared.
If all dogs are scratched in the Final Cast, all will
hunt in one hour intervals until a winner is declared.
A one hour interval hunt may not begin after the offi-
cial time of sunrise.
