We have to drive almost 2 + hours consistently to hunts, I have two clubs closer than that, one is 1 1/2 and the other is 1 1/4 hrs.

I can see everyone's point made here. Saturation of hunts, to many kennel clubs to get high entries, PP $ not high enough per point, Not as many youth hunting to cover the guys that quit, Not enough area to hunt ect. CH$C will never really grow unless $KC falters, they are to near a carbon copy of $KC. Yes their world hunt and their big truck hunts will have support though becoming multiple strong State groups it will never take a hold. If they wanted to grow they should have went after the largest coonhound kennel club registry UKC customer base in stead of a smaller base $KC. Then who knows maybe $KC is going out the door as they have slowly been losing customers pretty well in every category since Jarvis has sold the Club. Without His vision to think and see outside the box they have slowly been losing.

The performance program does what it was set up to do give you a small check in the spring and you can put your male dog in the program without much investment. It is set up for the small time hunter stud owner breeder or bigtimer's keep it like it is. It isn't a program that was made to make anyone rich but was intended to give back some of your costs to haul a dog to the hunts.

Can UKC do better yes they can improve and expand. How about a pup hunt that would guarantee 1st place $30,000. and guarantee $60,000. to the top 4 dogs plus a $1,000. + to all semi finalist. With a $500. payout to all top breeders of each breed and sire owners of each breed. How about some new extreme slam events with new extreme rules for the events. With a point system and a hunt off of the top 16 using extreme rules and a guarantee of $20,000. for 1st place???!!!! Who is interested??

Who is interested? Not UKC. They draw big crowds at AO, WC, rqes, etc giving away minimal prizes.
