Thunder Kennels
English Days 2015 has come and gone and what a weekend it was....At the English meeting Saturday I received a special award for the years of work and breeding at Thunder Kennel...This was something because it came from the membership and fellow breeders ..These placks will be hung and displaced with pride at my home..My thanks to all...Congrats to all the winners.. I did not do well myself but Smoke did just could not find the coons....special congrats to Smoking Gun High scoring dog, Thunder winning high scoring dog sat. finishing to Gr Nt and good friend Walter Grey winning his cast all three nights.....Thanks Again Larry

Very deserving of this award Larry, keep up the good work.

AMEN Randy, Larry is deserving of all good that comes his way. I have a very high respect for this man even though I really don't know him real well on a personal level. He has earned my respect by accomplishing all that he has, the old fashioned way, HE HAS EARNED IT. By breeding what he hunts and hunting what he breeds, and then to top off a career by winning the most prestigious hunt of all time.

Congrats Larry and a BIG thanks as well for committing such a great effort to improving this breed we all care so much about!!

Went to the UKC hunt in Beggs, Oklahoma last night with my young dog out of Gun and GR NITE CH Rocky's Cool Pop. Put him up on the bench and won best champion male for his third win towards grand show champion, then entered the hunt and got his first place win. He now has a 1st and 2nd with UKC.

His name is Plus Point Gunners Rocky Road and here is a pic.

Another great time and good hunt with Eric Evens last night...always a pleasure to have Eric down..And ya hes got another good one on the way 6 months old good sharp mouth and a tree dog....I'm sure Eric will have a good one this fall and spring.....Larry

*** Larry you have a really nice one , ran an old bore coon thru a swamp last night worked it good came up treed with one of the best locates ever put on a hound and is a tree dog with a bumming mouth.. Watch for him (Pride is his name) in the hunts next spring!! Lots of good times coming with this young hound.

BAD news form Thunder Kennels.....Top Gun has a broken hip and the cause is unknown....This hound with his big heart has been hunting for weeks with a broken hip..How I'll never know....X-rays confirmed the break....got to get the swelling down and then back for more x-rays to determine surgery. Keep your fingers crossed...

Thanks for the calls and msg. Gun is on several meds to get swelling down and keep pain down also..We will return then for more x-rays to determine what next. He is up and seems to be doing well and of course wants to go every night I load the dogs...Thanks again Larry
