Additional Heartland awards, just for fun!

New this year! The Heartland Classic has prize packages for each of the awards below. We hope these fun ideas will give some recognition to those deserving of honorable mention.

-Overall Highest Scoring Youth (sponsored in part by Jamie Swan)
-Rookie of the Year (sponsored in part by Three Hills Kennel)
- Overall Highest Scoring Lady Handler (sponsored in part by John Pelton)
- Oldest Handler
-Sportsman of the Year
-Farthest Traveled

For our gracious guides, each night we will give a $50 Conkey's gift certificate to the guide who's cast sees the most coon.

These will all work on the honor and nomination system, and will be chosen by the Heartland Board.

Thank you to all who have offered to sponsor!!!

Very nice. Gently rolling hills, small creeks and open pastures. Good coon population.

So far I have confirmed two vendors for the weekend.
Double J Outdoor wear (Jamie Swan) & Evans Custom Dog Boxes will both be there.

I've been trying to get in contact with the person who said they'd donate the High Scoring English award and that they were attending the event. I guess he's not going to make it and apparently isn't doing the award either. I know it's a last second request but is there anybody out there that IS going to the Heartland willing to donate a trophy or plaque for this? Please pm me. Thanks. Jay

WARNING!!!!

Madi wanted me to let all you little "Badger/Packer cheesehead" fans that a little 'Hawkette' is planning on making her 'debut' Friday night & hopes to slip out of town with a little hardware. Grandpa says, if I can't win a cast with Jesse or Scooter Friday night, Anne may be on the end of my leash Saturday (unless he gets a CW on Friday).

From Grandpa- She said she would rather ride on that new 'pink' 4-wheeler than win on Saturday anyway!!! She's tired of this old green one. Take care, Ron.

From Madi

I'll be there to hunt as long as mom or dad don't back out on coming to walk along, since I'm only 9. All my other hunting friends won't pass up hunting for the 4-wheeler to be my chaparone, even grandpa, so it all depends if I have someone to walk with me. Madi

How many dogs were there last year and did all the final 4 have double cast wins to get in?

Posted by rolingenglish on 05-12-2015 10:33 PM:

Thanks Dave

Madi will be there Friday night. Hope to have at least 1 cast so she can participate. Short hunt will be good experience for her to get used to things, even though she usually isn't ready to quit when grandpa is, on a pleasure hunt. Take care, Ron.

Ron glad to see they will have youth casts. I was wondering if they would have any senior casts? Its getting harder to keep up with these youngsters!

Tim

No doubt there will probably be a senior cast in Reg. & NtCh as there are several older hunters in this area. Take care, Ron.
