I bet. Me too. Lol
This thread?
What exactly are people wantin to others the say about these dogs ? Only 100% positive comments? No one can say they have holes just like every other breeding? People usually only get mad when someone says the truth if not it wouldn't bother them.
Joe whos jealous?

John Ray hounds
Well what an interesting conversation!! I am John Ray's youngest daughter reading him these posts from his living room. I have to say I get a kick out of how well known his hounds have become over the years! Being older he is not great with the computer and has no clue these conversations are out there. His wishes are that anyone interested in his dogs should send an email to dani.darlene2211@gmail.com. I am trying to post current pictures of his hounds right now. It was awesome seeing the ones from before I was even born but their looks have changed some since the late 70's.
As you can see the dogs have all their eyes and toes.

Ray Hounds
Dani, As you know John is a little tough to talk to. My pup I got from him last spring is doing great. I named her Peanut(after the first dog he got from the "Lee" brothers) Maybe he'll remember? Hope he's doing well. I couldn't ask for a better hound. If he's still able in a couple of years, I'll be looking to John for advice on who to breed to..Thanks Paul Thomas in Maine.
Yes he Remembers, contact me at my personal email and I can get you in contact with my dad. dani.darlene2211@gmail.com

I own 7 Ray dogs from different crosses have not seen much that I didn't like. Outstanding cold trailers, fast, gritty, plenty of brains just not the hardest tree dogs. Different dogs suit different people I reckon!

John Ray hounds
Joe, As you know, Peanut was my first and only Ray hound. Peanut was a top treedog from the get-go..Bayed her first coon( in a Cage) at 8 or 9 weeks..Started and ran her first rabbit before 4 months. Started and treed her first house cat at 6 months..Her only weak spot was..Couldn't screw down a small Bobcat. She had the same results on 2 other small cats..She caught 1 big one..I'm waiting for a pup out of her now..I like those Ray hounds and will have more in the future.....Paul..PS has she come in heat yet?
She has yet to come in mr Paul hopefully soon

I had never thought much about blue dogs till I hunted with old John, within a year I switched and have never looked back. That was almost 17 years ago already, every dog in my yard has some of his blood. I gave two pups over the years to a fella out of this stuff that kept telling me he wanted better cold trailing. Well both of those came back to me from him because they weren't taking off fast enough and wouldn't get on a cage coon. Both turned out to be dogs of a lifetime. Dixie is gone but was a great bear and cat dog. The other is Jagger, bear dog deluxe, cat dog and dry ground lion hunting right now. I'm no special trainer just a hunter, the guy that gave these two dogs back has still never had anything of their caliber. Point being its not always the bloodline that's the problem.
