Fishing club tourneys in paper tournaments, or a charity golf event, or coon hunting, I've heard of, and or seen cheating at all of these local club level events.

At the end of the day it is up to the local community to self police. If you know someone that cheats, ya confront them and move on. Most of the stuff I have seen personally was more what I consider rule bending, but I could see how some would be bothered. Even so most of the guys I hunt with would prefer that the best dog win.

As long as cheating is expected and tolerated by the community it will always be. If the community would expect more of itself and accept cheating to be taboo! It would quickly disperse. I don't know that if that will ever happen in our culture where means are often justified.

Ukc and pkc mags need to start doing write ups embarrassing the cheaters publicly. This would help change our community culture, and outlook on cheating.
