Thanks Jay and Curt!!! Picked up another 1st place last night at a local hunt, so that's 2 1sts, a 2nd, and a 9th. Now I'll prolly wait till next year before I hunt with the big dogs.

I finished Annie last week at RQE, so now it's time to get Bubba done. He's the one you hunted with at zone hunt- same cross as Tramp, only from earlier litter. Take care, Ron.

I haven't been doing much this Summer, and that includes browsing and posting on the UKC boards.

I did manage to fire up the outboard for the first time all year on Tuesday and tried jigging up some walleyes. I caught a few, but here was the fish of the day. 36" and 30lbs.

HIDE SEASON '14

Hide season has opened here in Wisconsin, and I'm having a blast!! I've hunted Tramp solo the last 2 nights. (Season opened at midnight on Fri night / Sat morning). I didn't get out till 10 last night either, so I had to hunt through the hard frost. Still managed to tree 5 each night. I love this time of year....

Here's a pup from Nt Ch Tramp x Dual NtCh Gert. She is 2 days away from 3 mos old, and this is the first coon hide she has ever seen. I had 2 4 mo old pups running loose also at this time, who were in the yard tormenting my 2 yo son. This female pup stayed put and treed the hide.

I haven't been coon hunting much lately as I've been trying to get some bow hunting done. I got lucky last night and got this one. I can still get another buck tag if I go kill a doe first, just might have to do that. I sure do like spending time in a tree stand this time of year....

Truthfully, he wasn't the one I'm after, but I had a hard time letting him walk. He is a 10 pointer with 17 3/4" spread. I rough scored him today at 130" gross. Now I need to go stab a doe, cuz here's the one that haunts me and I want to get back after....

Yesterday was a reason why I live for this time of year. Worked the pups on a drag with a hide the older dogs got the night before, and then go out and get some more at night!! Sure was a good weekend of coon hunting! I went out Saturday night and Sunday night for a cpl dumps each night, and we managed to get 5 good sized ones, made a den tree, and took a hard running sucker to a bulldozer pile. Those dang piles keep showing up more and more around here, it is frustrating.

DEER SEASON

My 2 tags are filled, now time to get back to nothing but dogs. Unfortunately, it's looking like this winter is gonna be a tough one for good hunting. I went out Sunday night after coming home from deer hunting. Turned my new Mt. Cur loose with Tramp and Tramp made it look easy treeing a big boar. The coon was 20 yds from a junk pile, and would've made it there, but Tramp was not very far behind him after a 5 min corn chase. Sure was nice to have one good night of hunting before this cold spell we're getting currently hit. Now that I'm not spending so much time in a tree stand, I'd be glad to go hunting anytime, just give me a call.
