The Heartland Federation would like to thank all of you for supporting this event. Everyone that entered there dogs, guides, judges, ticket sellers, vendors, surrounding clubs like SWWCH,Blackhawk,Pecatonica,Sugar River, and cascade. It's Support like this that makes a event run smooth. And If not for the people buying the raffle tickets this hunt would never be possible.. Thanks again for another great event in the heartland. Dave

Many thanks!

Echoing Dave's words, many thanks to all who participated in the events. We had tremendous support from volunteers, and it takes quite a few to keep this busy weekend going. We are hearing great feedback on the bench show, water race, and field trial. Handlers are giving excellent reports on hunting ground, guides, judges and more!

Thanks from all who bought or sold tickets too!!! The ATV raffle winner was Shawn Helgestead.

From the beginning, The Heartland Classic was designed to be a family event, and it's great to see that vision stay true. As volunteers, the Downing family, the Stanton brothers, the Loeffeholz clan, and others, remind us of that special kind of teamwork. As participants, who doesn't enjoy the spirited rivalry among those Peterson boys, the Downing boys or between Savanna Brooks and her Mom, Lisa? Hallie and her Dad? These are just a few of the many examples, but I can tell you we split a few casts because whole families came to hunt, and we enjoyed that same familial competition in the field trial, water race, and bench show as well!

Also, thank you to Paul Fredrick of UKC for coming out to enjoy the weekend and help keep us on track. Always a pleasant visitor!!

Planning has already begun for the Heartland Classic, 2015. We hope to see you there!

Thank you guys for the great hunt!!

Nice meeting and hunting with you, Jesse. That cast was more like a pleasure hunt than a competition hunt! Take care and I'll see you at another hunt down the line.

seniors

Hey Dave suggesting a senior cast to Ron was nice but he is not old enough. good one. Pat

Pat

Sorry, but I must be older than you think!!! Going down hill is even getting tougher & I sure don't look forward to going up the other side

Dave, not sure there is anyplace in Wisc. that is flat enough for a "golf course" coonhunt!! Take care, Ron.

Gota commend those that put their time in volunteering to make this come together the way it does year after year. Very smooth sailin all weekend & if you've had your fingers in events this size, you know, that ain't happenin without a whole lota prep work & trust worthy volunteers workin on a common goal.

Also the level of sportsmanship is held to a high standard & very evident just in the vibe. Was your usual, "But But But" bout this or that by a knuckle bendin contestant or two & the, "They circled a slick, minused a den, dang hills to tall" & that kinda stuff. Some just can't take getting beat & that will never change & no way to get around it but all in all it was once again very well received & participated weekend. Lota very positive comments.

"GROWTH", in it's future, is the hopeful plan for the "Heartland Classic" at the Iowa county fairgrounds in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Once you attend with your family you'll never miss it. Here for the long haul!

** WHERE ELSE CAN YOU GO TO A UKC EVENT WITH A GRAND PRIZE OF A POLARIS FOUR WHEELER? ****

PS; Fellow Cheese heads, We gota do sumthin 'bout all these Four Wheeler's goin'ta Iowa! by the way, "Well played Iowegians", well played

Sounds like another successful Heartland Classic in the books. Hopefully someday I'll make it back there if nothing else just to see old friends.
Glad to see the Heartland thriving back in WI but I'm also glad to see the Iowa hunters continuing to support it. This event just continues to improve.
A big "atta girl" to Erika and thanks to all those who are helping behind the scenes. Well done.

Wish I would have made it.

Sounds like this was a great event that I missed. So wish I could have been around to see the exciting finish. Special thanks to Ben Brown for handling "The Miah Dog" She has really come along under Ben's training. Finished her Nite Champion and ended up in the final four. Hope to upset the cart next year and bring one of those 4 wheelers to Minnesota.
