Max we took Jango and the Black pup Usher with him tonight. First dump they got in there about 540 yards and made a large circle and did not hit anything. The next drop Jango and the pup got in there right at 800 yards and nothing again. We then sent them in a big swamp and I mean a big one. Jango hit and the pup put in with him. Jango treed and the pup went about 75 more yards and treed in a old holler snag. We could not get across the swamp to Jango to even shine his tree. I called Jango and he came right to me, oh how nice it is for a hound to handle like he does! Enough is enough so home bound we came! The black pup will get out and go hunting and seems to have at least a little independence! I'm not much on one doing monkey see monkey do! Not bad for the first night in the woods.

Max we got a surprise visit tonight from and guy from Albany GA. The mans name was Dennis Young and he hunted a dog called Sadie - PKC champion I think! We hunted right at two hours and made four trees, two with coons, one den and one they beat to the tree! LOL! We were real proud of Tide tonight, he was a clicking. Stopped early due to Tides back pad being cut up from the ice. Did Star do anything that surprised you and your dad?

Went for a short hunt tonight with Jango and Usher. Made 3 dumps, 1 den, 1 coon, and ran one in the ground.

Still a pup, have seen him get in there 700 to 900 yards and seen him stand around a little. I have seen him drive a track, did a real nice job the other night and seen him tree so- so. Been pretty bad so haven't been able to hunt him like we want too. We will give him a couple months and go from there.

Went for a hunt tonight with Riptide and Pain. We hit some pretty decent tracks tonight. Made 3 trees 2 coons and a den tree. Miss Pain is starting to show some progress not as much as blue dogs but she is starting to figure it out for only turning 6 months old.
Treed a coon in this big pine tree he made one mistake he was at the top and he showed us one of his eyes. LOL

Max we took a little hunt tonight, we took Riptide / Usher. I think the coons were taking a little Christmas break themselves. Three dumps and nothing so we headed home, Oh Corey fell down a slick creek bank and the water had just had went down so you can take it from there! We hit the first car wash we came across!

Max tonight is the night! Every coon in the woods will run tonight and tomorrow night. With a front moving in like they say is coming, it will be two good nights!

Max we went late last night and the coons was really moving we made 9 trees seen 7 coons, a den and 1 slick tree. We took Riptide and Usher and they both looked good usher is starting to show some great ability. After last night that makes 127 coons for the year. Give me a call when you get a chance Max.

Man sounds like u guys had a good hunt!! I was out with a couple other buddies last night trying to get a few coyotes downed but we didn't have any luck! Sounds like I should've been coonhuntin. Lol

Max, Corey has his head set on hunting PKC so I told him to get him Register and we will start hunting him in them. I would have rather waited for a little while and let him age but you know how head strong he is! Hope the two pups make it but if not we will get us another Tide!

Going to try to hit the two night hunt in Kentucky this weekend. Heavy rain forecasted for Friday but suppose to be nice Sat and in the 50's! Hell the dogs have not been out for over a week so not sure how they will take to that!!

Max we hit the hunt over in Kentucky tonight and just as forecasted, it rained cats and dogs all night. One dog withdrew, Black dog had 250 minus, English had 75 minus and Jango had 200 circle. He took a track across ice, two creeks and more ice in the woods and treed a den so I feel his overall performance for the weather we had was very good. Oh we ran one track Jango could not smell! LOL!!!

Max we hunted Jango again tonight in Kentucky. We did not get the win but had a good hunt. Jango had two first trees on coons, 1 second tree on a coon and one first split tree on a big Pine tree for 200 circle. Jango had 575 plus and 200 circle for the nite, not enough for the win as a Walker Bitch had 775 plus to win Night Champion cast. Not finding Jango's coon on the pine tree really killed us. Had two night Champion cast and two Reg. cast. We guided and went to a few of our honey holes. Five trees and four coons is not bad for this time of the year.
