Crocket won his cast, but didn't have enough points to get in the 16. we had 2 walker dogs ruin our cast slick treeing everywhere, so we couldn't make several drops. that's the breaks lol...all we could do is win the cast 225+, 225 circle, 0 minus.

thanks Tom! Im trying to get him over an ear infection right now. he hasn't felt good all weekend, but has a big heart. doing my best to get him ready for the zones.

laying Crocket up for a couple more days trying to get him back to good health. after this he is going to have to work on getting in shape for the zones. I wish I had a treadmill lol I would put him In the AC and turn him loose on one.

Crocket seems to be better today!

Dana and I got 4 of his pups out yesterday and messed with them. they are sure going to have to learn some manners lol. they are all 6 months old and getting big.

Eddie I sure wish you were closer to Alabama. I would really like to hunt with Crockett. I love his looks and his pedigree is packed with reproducers. He should have some GO POWER for sure. Do you go to the FALL ROUNDUP? Darren

I would love to, but its just getting to be to many trips up north for me to afford. just got back from AO $, have to go to Kansas zone 4 next week $, and then hopefully to Kentucky the week after $. that's a little hard on a working man. I will be at the winter classic in Mississippi In February though. maybe you can come stay a weekend and go hunting with him and some of his pups this winter. he does have some go power and a great nose to go with it.

I know what you mean about going to the hunts, I am same way. I had to choose between Autumn Oaks and Fall Roundup so I am in same boat. the Winter Classic is only a couple hours from me so I might try to catch up with you then. I will be hunting there for sure. Good luck in all your Bluetick endeavors!! Darren

after lots of expensive doxycycline this dog looks like he is feeling good. its crazy how those pharmaceutical companies can all the sudden make medicine 7 times what they were in cost. I guess those suckers won't mind when they need their car worked on and I charge them the same way.

well we won our cast but was short of points to get in my hope is that some day UKC will allow all cast winners to hunt it off and let the best dog win. just because another cast scored higher don't make that dog better than the winner of another cast. you can only play the cards you have been dealt.

Crocket has lots good traits to pass on and we are seeing some of those traits in his pups we are hunting. 2 things for sure I see is track speed and winding ability. the other thing I see so far is that none of them locate a tree and move on. when they give you the locate they are treed. i'm realy enjoying his pups and will be hunting some of them at the Battle of Breeds in December. after hide season we plan on hunting 4 of them in the hunts and should finish them out pretty quick.

got to hunt Crocket last night and it was our first time back in the woods since my surgeries. He looked realy good! he amazes me all the time and always puts a smile on my face. i love our Crocket dog!

we have decided to pull some semen on Crocket and offer him for stud by private treaty. we hope to get some nice females breed to him. stud dogs are only half the equation and it takes 2 to make pups, then it takes folks willing to hunt them enough to give them a chance.
