We will pass on it heard no vendors are showing up and hardly anything given as prizes
I talked to Allen and he told me to contact the State Assoc to find out prizes, said there number was in the book.
I recon our club is just the host . Apparently the alliance is sponsoring the hunt.Someone needs to contact em and ask them what the prizes are. Then we will have an answer.

Still no prizes listed... I'm showing up to find out about where all the money has went. I sure haven't seen anything with my fees so far
That's what I'm going to do and to support Meigs county coon club. We all need to show up and hunt Friday and be there Saturday morning at 10:00 for the meeting. We can harp on this forum all we want but if a man don't show up how can we help to keep this thing moving forward. If they need help that's fine we need to help. If its to much on there plate then we need someone in there that can handle it. We can't move this thing forward by doing what is being done now. This is a good thing for us hunters in Tennessee and others outside the state that have joined. So the way I see it we need to be there and support it and fix what needs to be fixed Saturday morning. With that being said I will join Friday night regardless of the prizes if any and support this thing and keep it moving forward. I know we don't know much about it but Saturday morning we will find out. So lets all show up hunt the hunt support Meigs county for hosting it and have a good turn out.
Well said Mr. Longmire..........
I agree, well SAID Josh, everyone should support Meigs County if possible and the Alliance needs some work and that is what can be done with meetings. I thought the hunt last year was a great success and I hope it is great this year but work needs to be done!!

I'm not at all impressed with the "sport dog alliance". And until somebody votes some of the upper Hands out it will be no change!
I would come but it's a waste!

State Hunt update
The bench show judges for the Tennessee State Hunt and Show are set. the judge for Friday's show will be Mike Bryant from Newport TN.
Mike has judges some of the larger shows in the nation including the St. jude show and the AKC world Championship. The Judge for Saturday will be Gene Hicks from Sweetwater TN. Gene has been associated with hounds and hunting for many years. He served as a field rep for UKC for many years and has judged such shows as Autum oaks and the UKC World Championship. We are fortunate to have judges of this caliber to judge the Tennessee State championship and look forward to seeing everyone in Decatur Friday afternoon.
Food At State Hunt.
The meigs County 4-H club will be serving food at the Tennessee State Hunt. This will be a major fundraiser for the 4-H club according to Meigs County Coonhunter member Alan Roberts. Come out and support these young people by eating at the fairgrounds during the State Hunt
Vender and prizes at the State Hunt.
We have been contacting venders for the past several weeks. The responses are slow coming in. I wanted to wait until I knew for sure who was coming and what prizes were being donated.
As of today, this is what I know:
Venders Coming to set up and donating prizes
Allen's Dog Supply
G T Hunting Supply
Nite Time Hunting and Pet Supply
Webbs's Hunting Supply
Venders who are not able to come but told us they would send prizes:
Creekside Supply
Millingport Hunting Supply
Timbercreek Dog Supply
Elk River Supply
Godwin's Outdoor Supply
Willis hunting Supply
All venders are welcome to come set up. There is no charge to set up. If you can make a donation to the association to use for prizes that will be great, if not everyone is still welcome.
I will add to this list and list prizes as soon as more information comes in.

Oh my goodness, just look at all of those vendors donating prizes. I can't believe that there are so many people that don't want to come just for the hunt/fellowship. Everyone wants something these days. Maybe that is one of the problems in the World today. I thought that this was the Volunteer State. I wonder if all of those Tennesseans at the Alamo were looking for a prize? I just saw on the UKC home page where the Tennessee State Hunt last year had the most entries of any State Hunt. I can't wait until Friday night.
Yes this is the volunteer state and we volunteered our money last year to this alliance and like the tennesseeans at the Alamo we got screwed. But I will be down there Friday to hunt and support the meigs county coonclub and then at 10:30 Saturday morning I'll be at the meeting and hopefully I get to see Daniel Boone from last year if he made through.
It's not about the hunt/fellowship as much as it is about the secrecy of this alliance I hope they have another big turn out but I hope they have an even bigger turn out at the meeting so we can atleast here what they have been doing.
Yes Richard they was looking for a prize at the Alamo. It was called "THE TEXAS REVOLUTION". Read up on it you might learn something.
