THIS FEMALE WAS THE MOTHER TO OUR GRNTCH.RUSHCREEK SAGE. SHE WAS OUT OF SOUTHERN KNIGHT AND FOLEY'S GRNTCH.SMOKEY RIVER ANNIE. BOTH POUNDER AND SOUTHERN KNIGHT WORKED ON OUR DOGS THUS THE INTEREST IN OLE SHADY. THAT AND HAVE HEARD ALOT OF GOOD ABOUT THE TYPE OF COONDOG HE IS. <v>

IF ALL IS WELL WITH ERIC AND SHADY, I WILL BE BREEDING A FEMALE TO HIM IN THE NEAR FUTURE. <v>

Good looking hound!

By reproduction numbers pounder is the dog everyone needs to go to. Although Shady being off of pounder he may work justas well. Pounder is at the top of the list at 18.05% with only Boomer being anywhere close.

Probably shouldn't have got into this debate, but darn if this attitude doesn't just get me going. HOW DO YOU KNOW what is the right thing for the original poster of this post? I don't have a thing in the world against any of you guys and have the utmost respect for the guys hunting mad dogs accomplishments. But to put on blinders and attest they are the only way to go in this breed is pretty narrow minded and in fact you are seriously hurting their business. I have a couple females that I believe to be breed worthy and plan to breed sometime in the next year or 2 and am wanting to keep an open mind and soak up as much knowledge as I can about just what the right direction is to take them, but seeing poeple hyjacking peoples posts and trying to lead their attention away from what they have in mind sure doesn't make me want to even look your direction. None of us are so rich with knowledge about every dog in every line that we have any business trying to hyjack their attention our way......Sure doesn't seem like the right thing to me.

If this would have been a thread started by someone other than a friend of mine I would have not posted anything about the line on it. I used poor choice of words to suggest that Curt hunt with Smoke. I was not even thinking about this breeding he is thinking about doing to Shady when I posted that. I was never suggesting he not breed to Shady. I should have PMed that to him or just talked to him on the phone. The other part of the post you were offended by was because Curt and Clyde are getting a pup from me. I was giving them a way to get info on the pups parents. They both like to get info and make the best decision for them. Personally I think Clyde's Brummy has something to offer our line and wanted Paul and Tim to see him go. That way we could make the best decision of which female to breed him too. So yes it was off topic. Yes I should have PMed it. What more is there to explain? All you had to do was PM me right off and I would have gladly deleted the post.

Curt, I think this was a great original question. I have heard nothing negative about Shady. That says a lot in today's bluetick world. Thanks

Sorry I haven't been on here in some time but a friend of mine called me and said there was some people wanting info on shady. Shady is still here and doing welll kinda shocked to see all the intrest and if I can be of any help I'd be more than glad to awnser questions or show him in the timber. Thanks for all the good remarks about him and his pups and posting his pedigree and picture as well. Anyone is more than welcome to call me or stop by for a hunt my phone number is 260-237-1977.
