Cam Cooper,s 9 month old Astro male split treed from the old dogs and had the meat. Did a good job of treeing and stayed put. I believe he is going to make it.........Tim

Hunt

Talked to Paul a little while ago, he told me about his hunt with Brian Davis and Cam Cooper last night. They treed 3 singles on a cold moonlight night. Brian had his NT CH female, Cam had his pup and Paul took Astro.........Tim

Astro can get in there.He got deep twice and had the meat both times.

On the nights that the coon aren't moving very well Astro will get treed somewhere and usually has the meat. "Turn him loose, find him TREED"..........Tim

PAUL AND ASTRO

After I dropped my female at Tims Friday, night, I met up with Shawn Butterbaugh and we went to Pauls. I wanted to see the Astro dog go. Paul never hesitated to show him on a cold, moonlit night. We turned loose about 10, and ole Astro went in, worked a good track and came treed with the meat at about 700yds. By this time, it was about 20 degrees, and Paul says, ' Let's cut him again, I think I know a spot we can get one treed. LOL....We turned Astro loose, and he worked this track and come treed 7/10 of a mile away, WITH THE COON! This was my first time to hunt with Paul or Astro, and I want to say that both Paul and Astro are class acts. Very nice COONDOG!!!!

hunt

Paul,Cam Cooper,and I went out for a short hunt a few weeks ago. We treed one real quick. We were getting ready to send the dogs south I heard Paul say it would be nice if they would tree to geather. But in true Mad Dog fashion Astro went 650 yards south treed and had the meat. Froggie and Cam Coopers male went north 800 yards and treed. When I got to the tree we had cows and calves runing all around us. I just leshed the dogs and got out of there and headed back to the truck with out checking out the tree.Cam Cooper If you keep hunting your male like you are you should have one nice coon hound....Doug

Astro

Is a coondog and he aint afraid of the dark!

Timmy and I went for a short hunt with Paul and Astro last night after the Zone 1 meeting. We made two dumps and looked at coon on both dumps.
Astro put it on Leggs, on the first dump. They split and Astro got 6 or 7 hundred yards north and Leggs went 800 south. Astro had his coon. Leggs didnt.
Next dump they hunted together and got in deep. We drove around and still had to walk almost 700yrds to get to them. They both are outstanding independant tree hounds and looked good together. They had two coon on that one. they did a nice job. It started to rain a little and Timmy and I had a two hour drive home so we called it quits.
Had a great time and got to see some good dog work.

well i kinda put a shocking collar on her and i messed her up a little now im having trouble getting her to go by herself so ive chained her up and letting her to think about it here in a week or so im going to start back up hunting her alone but no more shockers im one of the ones that dont know how to use one right

From what I hear Paul and Cameron have been slipping Cam's pup out alone. Heard they went last night, he made two trees had 1 coon. I think he is 10 mos old. Astro x Ata Girl...........Tim

My brother Jeff and myself met up with Paul and Cameron
last night. Made a couple drops with our dogs. Didn't get
anything going the first drop but the second drop got 650
yards and got treed but couldn't find a coon. Then we cut
Astro and the pup loose and boy did Astro take off. Astro
did a nice job on a coon. The pup also did a good job.

Paul, thanks for taking me hunting. Will call you soon to go
hunting again.

He and Toby are 1/2 brothers. One thing I can say is these hounds have the drive I look for. That is one comment I hear all the time from hunters of other breeds. They get gone and are almost always the first leaving. I enjoy mine. The second comment I hear is about the volume and tone of their mouths. I look forward to hunting with Astro soon! Lance
