Georgia has a really good ball team and is picked really high in the conference this year I believe. They underestimated BSU last year in their first game and had an extreme mental block at the end of the bowl game, which I hate to put on Coach Richt but that's where it lies. However, given the opprotunity to sign Mark Richt over "Joke" Phillips, I'd jerk your arm off for the pen!! Do you, in your honest opinion, think Boise could beat last year's Mich. St team? Just goes to show you can't win EVERY game, but the SEC will win way more than their share.

UGA wasn't the 2nd best team in the conference, LSU was. Bama was the best, LSU hammered UGA. USC beat UGA. Ark most likely would have beat UGA. UGA was 5th best, 4th if they are lucky.
Boise couldn't beat TCU, TCU who was manhandled by RG III (21 for 27 and 5 td's 359 yds), and beaten by SMU.

South Carolina always posses a threat to UGA, but it's a coin tose how it turns out. UGA has a good ball team this year, lets hope they perform. That first game againist buffalo next weekend, believe me i'll be watching it at my hotel sitting on the edge of the bed lol!!

Last year before we lost our best receiver and our starting quarterback. Cincy.

Georgia wasn't even close to the second place team in the sec last year. They won the east but finished 4ththe or 5th in conference. Big difference.

If Georgia would have beaten LSU, they would have won the SEC but would have gotten blasted by Bama in the BCS game. BLASTED!! We'll have to see what the Dawgs have this year. SC is always a problem for GA. Based on the west the last few years, nobody in the east has anything for them. Bama and LSU are way to strong.

LSU beat UGA like they stole something. Go ahead and say Boise did to, but the stats aren't even. LSU dominated UGA worse than boise did. Also bama would destroyed UGA, Arky most likely would have beaten them and USC did. So obvisoulsy uga wasn't the best.

This is coming from a player on the team.
The offense went to Miles and said they didn't like Jefferson's attitude and thought Lee was better. They said Jefferson was at the casino partying before the game (1 or 2 nights before.) Also the O-coordinator wanted Lee as the Q-back, but Les said he ran things and told the players it was his team and the only way they would win is if Jefferson was the Q-back.

That's a rough way to lose 21-0. I'm not trying to get you upset but when you cross the 50 for the first time halfway throught the 4th quarter its a little late anyway. Might want to let the coordinators do more coordinating in the future.

I agree, but I do believe overall Bama was the better team. This year with Mettenberger though is a different story. As long as LSU doesn't choke like boise they should be in Miami holding the crystal ball.

Yes they would have but they didn't and you go by conference recordto determine placement in the conference. They were first in the east but the conference has two components so the east champion can actually be the 7th or 8th best team in the conference. Just so happens last years UGA team was 4th or 5ththe in the conference.

I just read an article about the bias when it comes to the SEC! It stated, when #3 ranked Oregon lost to # 4 ranked LSU, they dropped to #13, which basically took them out of the NC picture.
But when #1 ranked Alabama lost to #2 ranked LSU @ home, in that barn burner 9-6 game, they dropped to #3, now, how does that happen?
