Rob the majority of the idea behind spending alot on a young dog is the fact that is can compete for over 30k in the superstakes.

would you spend 10,000 for any dog.... lots of dogs have sold for that kind of money at that age.... i wouldnt give it either but neither would i sale that once in a lifetime dog for it

It sounds like me you need to keep him and hunt him to win $30000.00 in the SS instead of asking what he is worth on a open forum. Ohio is just about the same as Indiana in coon population. So there Bud. Put him in some major events in UKC and see how he stacks up , than put him in some major PKC hunts and do the same thing. If he is what you say he is he will sale him self for big money ,if he dont you have a average dog.

Too much Difference

As long as human beings are involved, there will be multiple interpretations of what is considered "Good", or "Young & Talented".

It would be your right to ask anything you want, asking & getting are two different things.

Maybe the trick is finding a buyer or a market that has the same or close to the same definition of "outstanding" as you do. The public can be discriminating, seeing is believing.

The higher the asking price, the more "seeing" would need to be done on multiple levels to make believers.

With the limited description given, I would venture a guess of between two to three thousand.

Chuck just because I like you so much ill make you a heckuva deal on Ike. I will sell him to you for 11,999. Give me a call and we will get the details squared away. If i didn't make a mistake and realize Ike wasn't payed up in performance program there would only be 1 dog ahead of us in the entire country by 1 tenth of a point according to junes bloodlines. Russ Bellalrs Gravedigger dog had 4.9 and me and Ike would have had 4.8. His 1st hunt there was over 30 registered dogs which was a 2 point 1st place win but since i mis read him being paid up take that 2 points away. Even without it we are 2nd or 3rd in the english breed.

i cant believe your taking peoples performance points with a dog you found on the side of the road and found a set of papers to through on it i think thats just flat wrong and i strongly think your ike dog should be dna tested just sayin i know what im talking about and you know it so do not try in lie your way out of it what your doing is wrong and people all over should know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a 1yo dog I made a nitech and won about $1,300 dollars with. he had 2 SS left and he sold for $8,000. Not only could he win, he proved he could win.. That $1,300 was all in local $25 and $50 hunts. We entered 19 casts and won 17. That was a couple years back and I haven't found one I liked since. If you have a good one you better keep it!

Sorry it took me so long to reply I was busy hunting in a PKC hunt. I have no clue who you are but I would love to know. It appears you made a fake screen name just for me. How sweet of you

I really dont appreciate you spreading stuff like this. I have worked hard with Ike over the last 4 months. Night after night in the woods me and him.

I'll guarantee that ugly dog is out of Oreo and jack. No offense had oreo here for a time and and am good friends with ace and have hunted many nights with one off that cross. Hes definitely out of those 2 dogs.
