Probably the most mentioned name I can think of is Timothy Ball, weather or not if he is the best he is just in every book for the last 15 years. I could list alot of popular hunters/showers around this time period one that really sticks out is Amanda Alexander because all of the shows she has won, and not to mention she owns Rowdy the Walker dog that got high scoring dog at Walker Days. But since I hunt English I would like to put Mr. Darrell Brown on the honorable mention list. I have never met him personally but he has done alot for the English breed and still has some good stock. oh yeah my most favorite hunter is my Dad and always will be.

If you have ever hunted with Gayle you know that he is what all coonhunters should be. He still hunts harder than anyone I know. when we go hunting with Gayle we hunt coon from dark till the sun comes up and than we squirle hunt. Great guy, and he has packet some coon dogs over the years.

Dave Dean, if you are ever at bluetick days and want to talk with dave get in the long line. Never met the guy but he has sure got a big following.

I beleive he won 5 with Bawlie and Barney. 3 with one and 2 with the other. All were ACHA which was about the only World Hunt in those days. I'd like to here if anyone knows anymore like which of the two dogs won it the most?

I don't believe it's about who won the most hunts. Timothy Ball was my second pick and Dave Dean my first. That was the popular vote. Dave and Timothy both was well know some thirty years ago and still keeps their name in the coonhunting circles. Dave has done as much with his selected breed as any man I know. That is why I voted for him.
