Terry Overbey in Mo. has Overbeys Buck who is out of WCGRDCHGRDNTCH Browns Nitehawk Jake who was certified by UKC as one of the top repropucers.Jake is gone now but Buck is still available and standing at stud.

How old is this dog?

Forest, I'm having a hard time reading his pedigree.Who is is sire and dam?

Finley River hounds

Just bought a pup from Rick Vestal that is so Finley River bred, I treed a coon with the papers last night. hahaha
Rick has some of the best FR dogs around these parts. His foundation stock came from Lonnie as a pup that was raised and trained by Snuffy Williams of Ashland MIss. I hunted with her a bunch until Snuffy sold her to Rick at around age 6 or so. Rick bred her to Night Hawk,Lonnie and a few other big time Finley River studs. The pup I have goes back to her 3 times up close. She was a coon dog from nose to tail. Nothing fancy, but you could fill a wall with hides from her. Straight as an arrow from a pup on. The pup I have is as smart as a cur dog, lound mouth and will be a show champion before he is 7 months old. You can't start showing them until they are 6 months old.
I prefer the old Spring Creek Rock hounds but there isn't anything up close to that anymore that I am aware of. My pup also has a dab of Rock in him( Rock was a grandson of old chief anyway.)
If this pup lives to be a year old, I am goind to stud him out. He goes back to old Dan about 16 times and old chief about 20. How can you get more Finley River than that?

Coonhusker, good looking dog. That's how I like them to look. All red head and lots of red trim.


Rock is 9 years old. He (or I) had never been to a hunt until last fall. He made Nite Champion with a 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th (I only took him to larger hunts). Rock now has two wins to Grand. He has only lost two cast in all of his 9 hunts.

He was sired by Ch NiteCh 'PR' Screaming Pete

His dam was GrNiteCh 'PR' Slippery Rock Penny.

Have a young dog that is doing well. He is a son of Nite Leader and a daughter of Blue Mountain Finley River Lonnie. The Lonnie daughter is out of a littermate to Finley River Pete and Finley River Boomer. Pete, Boomer, and Brandy are out of Nite Hawk and a daughter of Blue Mountain Finley River Lonnie. Line bred Finley River with the speed, nose, mouth, sense, accuracy, good looks the strain is known for.
