If we worked who would you have to talk to? Up and running at 5 every day, chickens, horses, goats, dogs, cats, tarantulas, fish, hamsters, putting the neighbors cows back in the pasture, get the angel baby up and out to school, haul my carcass into my paying job so I have money to feed the chickens, horses, goats, dogs, cats, tarantulas, fish, hamsters, and replace all the flowers and bushes the neighbors cows devoured overnite oh yeah have to feed the angel baby too.

I dont know about you guys....But I think This guy has the WORST job!!

Posted by kev on 11-01-2003 05:31 AM:

I was laid off a few months ago from my construction job. I am now working in a junkyard pulling parts. 6 days a week at a few cents above minimum wage. Not bad for a guy that only lacks a couple semesters having a bacholers degree in Business Administration, huh?

My work schedule varies but it boils down to I work 6 nights a week of differing hours at a newpaper. Wife more often than not gives me a update on the kids as she is getting into the car and I'm getting out of the truck....... Normally my 6 year old is dressed and ready for school so all I have to do is watch for the bus and away he goes. My 4 year old and 2 year old wake up shortly after that and most days we eat breakfast and go play with the puppies, run errands, etc. I get them down for a nap about 1:00 pm and I also lay down for a nap. I get up about 4 when the lad gets home from school and usually go and feed the doggies about that time. Wifey gets home about 5 ish and soon as she does I try to squeeze in another nap ...... lot of nights I gotta punch in by 7:30 pm so nap is shorter than I like. She also works for uncle sam one weekend a month so weekends is just like any other day. I also do a little computer work in my spare time LOL. Ohhh my one day a week off ...... if it jives up with the wifes schedule I goof off on the computer and sleep a lot

I finally put a dry erase board on the bedroom door to allow for home communications ...... for instance I might write "if when you get home I am sleeping do not wake me up until 10. I'll eat left overs for supper and I don't have to be at work till 11. The dogs have been fed and there's stew in the crock pot, there is something wrong with the dryer don't use it. See ya bout 7:30 tomarrow morning. Love ya" LOL I'll get home the next morning and the dry erase board will say "when I slow down for a light the oil light comes on in the car and it is making a ticking sound. Is that bad. Call me at work. Love ya" LOL

I wish I was thin, trim and highly motivated enough to do all that hard work you stay at home moms do. Probably watch OLN instead of soap operas though.

I work a 12 hour shift, 7:00PM to 7:00AM, with rotating days off. The great thing about this schedule is that it fits in so great with coonhunting. Work 2 nights, off 2 nights...It's the best! Fri,sat, and sun off every other week. Factor in vacation and I work less then 6 months out of the year.
i work the same as you. its great. but lately when im off the weather ate so good, i hate that .

I work the same except I work 6:00pm to 6:00am. It's good for hunting but not so great if you have a family and still try to hunt.
