Dave Dean & Warren Housler
As Ed said these two gentlmen are true pioneers of the Blutick breed and have both done so much to improve and promote the breed. I have never heard either one of these fellows bash another line of dogs or have I ever heard them say that there line of dogs are the only good ones in the breed. I personally heard Dave Dean say at a Blutick hunt in LaGrange IN. a few years ago that Lonnie Smiley had done more for the breed in the last 10 years than anyone has. I think we should concentrate on improvung our breed by what ever it takes so maybe somday there will be a UKC WORLD CHAMPION BLUTICK.
my dogs momma is northern blue cloud II, she is out of spanky and northern blue cloud, cloud is also out of spanky and northern blue julie, my males sire is hammer 21, 21 goes back to hammer 2 and 3 many times, so does spanky, actually my dog goes back to 2 and 3, 23 times in 7 generations, so i do believe he has some heavy traits from these two dogs. i have a female that is out of junkyard dog and a female out of junkyard slappy, who is also out of jyd, she is very young yet, but is the most insane pup i have ever seen. the second these two get a wiff of coon they are wide open, this is what makes me laugh at "tight mouthed doubled spanky dogs". not just from these two, but from several other spanky dogs , i have hunted with.
