There is a office by La Farge to get a permit. And they should be able to give directions. I live 20 min from it. Good luck

Hey Carl,
I got a hold of a guy from that office in Lafarge today and he is sending me a map with info. Maybe we'll run into each other sometime. I'll be running an English Redtick female. The fellow told me that there isn't any coon hunters that run there because it's big country with no roads that are accessible by motor vehicle. Thanks.... Joe

That sounds like an ideal spot to hunt with like 6 guys and their dogs and some walkie-talkies. Sounds like fun!

Scott, us flat landers get a little cocky and need a wake up call from time to time about thinking we are rough and tough.

Ya you're right and when I feel a wee bit cocky. I go to Aubs and then I'm good for a year or three.
Coon are really moving here looking for water and food. I counted a total of 52 coon in a 26 mile round trip on I94 mon. morning. A lot of sows and kits getting blasted. Bumper year for coon and no water and food. 1988 was the same. Killed a lot of coon then. But the hides were ugly. I think we averaged like 3 dollars a piece.

OK... so now that I have a couple hunting areas, where am I supposed to sell my furs? I've seen the schedule for Groenwold Fur and Wool, but they don't start picking up for a couple weeks and even then it's only every other week, one day a week.

If I put a hide in the freezer my wife will kill me! But at the same time, I don't want to have to drive an hour from Oconomowoc...

Thanks!
David Schmidt

LOL Day late, dollar short. I got that same freezer off of CL two years ago. It gets the hyde over flow when the chest freezer gets full. So not a lot of use..
