We appreciate it Steve. At our meeting last night, we decided to have pizza for the kids, also we'll have chicken off the grill and vegetables . There will be no charge for the entire event, no entry fees, no charge for food or drinks. We will have a donation tray if anyone does want to contribute. The prize list is really adding up. There should be smiling kids faces all through the day.
Please remember this is a ukc licensed event and all dogs hunt together regardless of title, just like a rqe. With it being a ukc licensed event, only ukc registered dogs with proper paperwork will be allowed to enter, meaning you need an easy entry card or permanent registration papers to enter. We are looking forward to having a great event and a lot if fun for all that attend.

Only one week away folks. We picked up the trophies at SETWD for the youth hunt, very nice looking trophies that us parents would be happy to keep dusted, lol. Please bring your kids if you can, we are looking forward to having an awesome day with the kids.

Good luck to the club and all particpants. My aunt has passed away so my son and I will not be there as we have to attend the memorial, but I am hopeful the club has a great turnout. This club has a great membership base and they are really doing good things, if you take a kid tomorrow I believe it will be a great experience.

N.C. youth Hunt

Congrats to the Duplin county Coon Hunters club on a fine job for the first youth hunt. A big thanks to Terry Williams and all the members of the club for the extra hard work to put this event on for the future of our sport.A big thanks to the business,vendors and individual who donated prizes and money to this fine event. Over 30+ young smilling faces were seen along with proud mommas and pappas on a wet and and somewhat miserable day but despite the weather all had a great time. As I write this there are some to be hard core young hunters braving the weather to get in the woods. Good luck to all.

Thank you to all that helped us put on this event. We had 33 in the classes, 17 in the sanctioned bench show, 10 in the kids bench show, around 20 in the treeing contest and 10 hunted in the hunt. We were very pleased to have so many participants in spite of the terrible weather. We are hoping all the kids had a great time. We gave away a lot of prizes and we had some mighty good food, including breakfast this morning. It was a nice event for all, in my opinion. I appreciate all that helped with this event and attended.
