I have been with several like that . But what you say is the dogs 'put in' , A descent dog would not open , might tag along not saying nothing , but not put in unless it was itself a common nogood deer chaser. My dog would likely come back and tell on a dog like that. I would ask the judge what he was going to do about them trash runners? He would tell me me the rules said he had to see the deer . So I would say" scratch my dog Judge, I don't want to ruin my good young dog messing around in these nitehunts. If you can't tell a fart bloosum from a deer chaser ,I don't want anything but to load up my dog and be gone from here". But rules is rules I guess if you allow your young dog to get ruint. Messing around hunting with noaccounts.

lyle i dont competion hunt no more, i reckon you can say it wasnt my cup of tea even though i did it for several years. the best dogs i ever owned would run a deer until you gave them a attitude adjustment a few times. i dont use a shock collar, for one reason it want reach far enough were i hunt at and i want them to know were the stinging comming from.lol

a mile is give and take if it has the meat with me any further I complain about the dog Main reason is the land I hunt isnt that big plus you shouldnt have to run to much further than a mile to tree a coon but sometimes it happens
