how did the hunt go, how many dogs were there, anyone know.

Timmy and I got to go on friday night. We hunted with Paul and Richard Lettington from Iowa. Tuff hunting conditions, coon wern't moving but we managed to get two on the out side.
I didn't get a count but I would guess around 20 to 25 dogs went to the woods. We were the first ones back in and had to leave around midnight.
Had a good hunt and a good time.

well, Shelly is almost hunt ready, I look for consistency in the woods, Track to tree and stay hooked, she is doing this on a regular basis, the future looks bright.......... Gerald

made a couple of drops last night before rain started moving in, shelly and Jesse when in about a 1/4 and struck another 200 yrds and shelly fell treed jesse kept going she was hitting a tree deeper in shelly had a big boar, 2nd drop shelly by her self 600 yrds she struck went about 300 more hitting every now and then and rolled up on wood, blowing the top out of it, once again she had the meat swinging, big coon small tree, it was climb or fight, he went up, Game Over. MAD dog Ruger 41/2 months (Turk x Polly) followed us in when the coon came down, he took one whiff and it was on, he dove in like he had done it a hundred times, It was a hassle caring the coon out , He thought he should help, WOW GOTA LOVE IT.

Hunting here in Ks. has gottin tuff the last week due to cold weather. The boys hunted just the females last night and managed to tree one on the out side. Made a couple of den trees after that and called it good. This past few days has been hard hunting, sent them through several sections without a bark. The older dogs will find a den but no track to it. Hope the coon get to movin around here.

Hows it goin? We are about rained out up here but the tracking has picked up a little. Been treeing a lot of big coon, only thing that bothers me is that I havn't treed a kitten coon since before season opened. I'm beginning to think they starved out due to the drought. Still pretty tuff training a young dog, running a good track right at dark and it seems to be no tracking just treeing after about 8:00

The tracks have been close to the same here, some of ours have been no tracks just falling treed, not that they want to open on anyway, been treeing some though, and some dens, goood luck with the yougsters..Gerald

Shelly takes it all

our ukc hunt and show was yesterday the 17th. Shelly won class, breed, and best of show, the night hunt was no different the night was tough but she got off and treed the only coon seen in regulation time, she got deep and we found her treed with another coon after the hunt was over, 225+ no minus 1st place win in her first hunt...........Gerald
