Jeff,
That sounds good! I look forward to hunting with you again.
I'm glad you took her to hunt and get her back in shape, we might enter her in a few of the bigger hunts come spring.

Posted by JSlater on 12-23-2011 02:19 PM:

Yeah James I would be glad to hunt her in some bigger hunts and some RQEs for you this year after she Hopefully gets bred to 7 this Feb. I think the old Lady still has some fight left in her. Take a look at the weather for next week and let me know what night looks the best to get after some coons. Later man.

James.
Just wanted to drop a line and tell you thanks again for a good hunt last night. Smokey and Flo done a heck of a job. Really excited to walk into that second tree and see two up their looking done. Randy's dog Flo is a heck of a coon dog. Good Mouth on a Hot or Cold Track and comes treed pretty. I have hunted with her several times now and Absolutely love her.
Snokey comes treed pretty too boys.. Both are belly up and all coon dog when the coon falls out.
I think your right about rut James. They was two up that 2nd tree last night and the one we shot out was a Big Ol' Swollen up Boar.
The night started off bad with my dogs' ear, but turned out good for us. Lot of Walking, but they say " Wore out boot's makes coon dog's"
Hope we can get together again and kill some more coon.
Thanks again and We enjoyed ourselves.
Jeremy

Jeremy,

It was a pleasure meeting you, Marv and Lonnie, and nice that Randy put us all together to have one of those rare fun hunts that we all like to have. I sure look forward to hunting with you guys again.
Thanks, for the kind words about Smokey 7, I thought your hound done a fine job getting off to himself with the meat!! and Randy's Flo done a fine job too, as usual!!
Getting treed 3 times with coon in all the trees was very nice.

I saw from watching you, with your dog's cut ear that you are very good and professional in caring for animals, i hope you the best in your Veterinarian profession.

Let me know when you guys want to turn them loose again.
Thanks,

James

I loved the hunt.
Maybe next hunt we can meet up and go to some flat ground.
These hills will turn us old quick! If not than I'm up for doing it down here again. Once we turn a dog loose one time, it's in your blood.
I was also proud of my dog splitting from your guy's dog and having the meat! To be honest he doesn't do that often. He isn't good under pressure, but he has came along ways since I started hunting him.
Your right, I do love working with animals. I have to say I was Very Unprepared for a little cut like that to bleed so much.
Again, Thanks for the old shirt to use to dry him up. If it wasn't for that I don't think we could of got the blood to stop. Little things make a big difference.
Again, I love Smokey, Very Good looking dog! Smart and he is a nice belly up tree dog. He puts me in the mind of the Black and Tan Male I had Called Dozer. Good hound and he was a half brother to Randy's Dog Flo!
Thanks again,
Can't wait to turn loose again!
Keep warm.
Jeremy

Jeremy,

Yes, those hills are rough at times when the dogs get deeep..
Flat ground is better so we could probably make more drops. We can go north and hunt sometime with Randy and hunt some of my spots up there to.
I sure would like to have seen your Dozer dog cut loose, sounds like a special hound.

Let me know when you want to go again.

Thanks,

James

James,
We got plans to going up to Randy's to hunt a few nights before season goes out. I think the good weather is over with, so we will have to pick out some good days when we don't have a lot of snow on the ground.
My cell number is 1-740-577-5314 call or text me anytime and my house number is 1-740-682-3570.
I'll stay in touch and hopefully we can have another good night out hunting.
We like to get everyone together to hunt when ever we can to hunt and have a good time listening to the coon race because you never know what's in store for us in the future.
Did you know Floyd Peter's? He had some very good redbones and Cur dogs. I still got one of his mt. curs and she is a very good squirrel dog. Anyways he passed away on Christmas Day.
Take care.
Jeremy

Jeremy,
I knew Floyd Peters, I'm very sorry to hear of his passing. He lived not to far from me. Floyd was a very kind, and generous gentleman. he enjoyed his dogs and give good dogs to some of my neighbors.

I will be calling you soon as the weather breaks and hopefully we can all get together again, it was a fun fellowship hunt for sure.
Thanks.

We would like to thank Loren Simpson, Jeff Nelson, and John Davis (winning bidder) for bidding on Smokey 7 in the WHIF Auction. We feel honored that hunters/breeders of your caliber would consider Smokey 7 as a part of your breeding program. Only time will tell what kind of reproducer he will be. I do know he is a COONDOG, from a litter of other COONDOGS, from two COONDOGS! He was as natural as any hound I've been around. These are the things I look for when picking a stud. We are excited to see what 2012 holds for S7. In the hunts, and in the stud pen...
