Had a good hunt with Jonathan Christmas and company last night.

Johnathan's Dixie female, Jack, and Duke all went 1.1 miles and got hooked with the meat. We had a good time letting that young boy shoot it out to the dogs. I'm going to tan it out for him so he can have the hide of his first coon.

John we all had a wonderful time and you put us in some coons, you can't ask for a better night of hunting than good company and good huntin. I bet that we'll do it many more times before it's all said and done.

Thanks for taken Tyler out this weekend he had a blast. I will be up there around the 20th of this month. So we can run them again. My Jack and Duke are going nuts not being able to run like they use to. **** Washington State..

We had a lot of fun on this end ole buddy. And I defiantly am lookin forward to seein Jack back in action. We got plenty of Coon's and they can't run outta woods, no matter how far they travel.

Had a great night with Jack tonight.

First drop he treed with the old man and did a fine job of it.

Second drop Jack struck in first and got treed about 70yards from Duke and held the pressure. He was treed up on a den tree. The tree had a hole in it that I could have crawled into.

I was very proud of my Jabo pup tonight. I'd like to thank Larry Stringer again for letting me own this pup, I'm really enjoying watching him progress.

Now lets see what he'll do in Georgia this weekend. =)

Kent, was on my way in to jenny when you called. 700+yrd's was as close as i could get. and belive me i tried to get closer. LOL. I would like to finish our conversation that was started last night. as i may have some usefull insight to offer. as always. LOL. Take care friend and good hunting in Ga. so jack is 1yr old and will have been hunted in 4 different states. hauling him and dumping out in new terrian will only make him better. JMO. LWS.

Good times in Georgia.

Just got back in from a good visit with old friends.

Good news is I made a couple of new ones along the way. I got the pleasure of taking Jack down to Georgia and hunting with Wayne Davis. Wayne is a stand up guy and a pure pleasure to be around.

I'd like to thank him for two good nights of hunting and friendship.

On Friday night Jack got treed in a hole in the middle of a bad beaver pond/swamp, and that was pretty much all there was to speak of that night.

On Saturday they treed in a hole the first drop, and on the second Jack split treed from Wayne's Slim dog and did a good job of holding the pressure. Both dogs had den trees.

While you were playing in GA. I was playing with my son's new toy.....a JABO pup. I have to thank Mr. Larry Stringer for this addition to our Kennel.

Not even 6 mos old and .63 (yes I said it) .63 miles from us and with the old dog! They have GO in them. No doubt. Oh and some mouth too! LOL

Glad Jack is starting to piece it all together. Looking good.
His litter mate Jenny was split from my old dog at least 200 yards and holding pressure! I would have to say that was a great cross.

Not many pups on the ground but most seem to be early starters.

Jack got it done solo

Last night I took Jack by his lonesome and he did GREAT!

He struck it about 250yrds out and flat burned the track up. I almost shocked him because of the speed he was moving at, but just as I was about to nick him he fell treed. I gave it about 4minutes to make sure he was done and then I started walking in. He did a bang up job last night and I was super proud of that Jabo pup.

Here are some pictures of his first solo coon that I was able to shoot. (he's treed on his own before, but it's been den trees...)

Kent, well done friend. you deserve alot of credit for putting the time in the timber with Hillbilly Jack. so give yourself a big o'l pat on the back, hug jacks neck and ya'll keep doing what ya'll both love to do. i'll see you and jack down the road. LWS.

Good night with he Christmas crew

We had a bang up night tonight with John Christmas. We cut all of the dogs loose and they went huntin'. Jack and Duke split which side of the creek they wanted to run and both were on a track. They finally treed right around 980yrds. They had treed on a big ole leaned over tree, but Jack wasn't totally committed. He would try to take it off, and for good reason.

Jack kept going up on top of a bluff there and tracking and eventually carried it off. We set duke towards him and he fell treed at our feet. Just as we found that coon Jack fell treed about 250yrds away. We shined and shot the coon with Duke and Molly and then started in towards Jack.

.....Dear God that was a rough walk. It took me and John nearly 30 mins to get to Jack but he had the meat. I was pretty proud of the way he did tonight.

Thanks again to John Christmas and his family for having me and Andy come hunt. We feel honored that you allow us to come partake in your friendship and hunting grounds.

Son that was one of the best nights I've had in a long time. Good friends+good pups doin a stand up job= the reason to cut'em loose again.
Ole jack is a looker and turnin it on. I can't wait to get a chance to hunt a lil of this blood.
