Thats the important part. It sounds like you are on teh right track with her so far. When I don't enjoy being out there anymore it'll be time to quit. Although my wife will tell you they'll bury me first most likely.

I do have a question for you though Coonpounder. Why did you pick a Redbone? I'm guessing that somewhere down the line you were watching Where the Red Fern Grows. right? That movie has sold more red dogs than you can shake a stick at, and before someone starts it no I am not talking bad about Redbones.
[/QUOTE] i like the movie verry much but no that not the reason i got her i went to buy a pup out of that mojo dog every one talks about this man had one that was about 11 month old i watch it tree on a cage coon it was a real slick looking pup i payed 400.00 for him but when i was leaveing i saw her she was kind of poor looking and dirty but she looked like she needed a good friend and i was going through tuff times myself and need a friend also i left and got about 4 miles down the road and turned and went back there he took the mojo pup back and let me have her best traid i have every made

Mr. Coonpounder

Please keep us posted about your female. It sounds like she just might be a very nice hound that just needed a buddy to take her to the woods. You will learn (as we all did) the things she will allow you to do while she is under a tree. Who knows she might even allow you to shoot coons out 1 day with out being tied.

It sounds like your a nice guy that injoys hunting these hounds. If I may ask where are you located? Againg good luck with her.
